INTRODUCTION

Mojo Interactive, Inc. (herein after referred to as “Mojo" or the “Company”) operates a website and application for mobile devices providing users (“Patrons”) a platform for wagering on sports. Mojo intends to leverage its management, intellectual property, and industry knowledge to launch a variety of player-centric gaming products under the Mojo brand in legal jurisdictions.  Further:

  1. These Mojo House Rules (the “Rules”), as well as the Mojo Terms of Use located at mojo.cm/terms (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Mojo platform (the “Platform”). When placing a Wager on the Mojo Platform, the Patron agrees that the Patron has read, understands, and will adhere to these Rules, as well as the Terms at the time of the Wager placement.
  2. The use of this Platform is subject to the regulations imposed by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
  3. Mojo reserves the right to make changes to the site, wagering limits, payout limits and market offerings.
  4. Mojo reserves the right to suspend any or all wagering, for any and all Patrons, at any time without notice.
  5. Mojo may update, amend, edit, and supplement these Rules and the Terms at any time.
  6. Any reference in these Rules to words/objects that appear in singular also applies to plural. References to gender are non-binding and to be treated for information purposes only. Any references to “we,” “us” or “Mojo” refer to Mojo Interactive, Inc., the company that owns and operates the Platform.

DEFINITIONS

1. “Patron” is a Patron that has opened an account on the Mojo site or application, and that has been validated and confirmed for the use of the Mojo Platform. In addition to Mojo’s internal confirmation process, this validation process also utilizes third party service providers to confirm a Patron’s identity and bank account details (please see the Terms for more information on how your personal data is used and stored).

2. “Mojo Value” refers to the formula we use to capture the value of an NFL or NBA Player’s accumulated professional career performance.

3. “Wager” is the action a Patron makes on the Mojo platform to make:

         • A Career Bet (defined below) on the career of a current professional athlete, College Football athlete’s projected NFL career, College Basketball athlete’s projected NBA career, a College Baseball athlete's projected - MLB career or a Minor League Baseball player's projected Major League Baseball career; or

         • A Prop Bet (as defined below) that is being offered on the Mojo platform.

See more below in section entitled “How it Works.”

4. “Player” refers to a professional NFL athlete that has an “Active Roster” designation and appears on the Mojo Platform (more on “Active Roster” below under “When Are Wagers Settled”), a College Football athlete (the expectation for College Football athletes is that they will have an NFL Active Roster designation at some point in the future – see more in “How it Works – Overview” below), a professional NBA athlete that is on an Active Roster, a College Basketball athlete (the expectation for College Basketball athletes is that they will be on an NBA roster at some point in the future), a professional MLB athlete that is on a 40-man roster of an MLB team (as defined below), a Minor League Baseball athlete or a College Baseball athlete

5. “Share Price” is Mojo’s prediction of the Player’s career ending Mojo Value for a Career Bet. This is the price that appears on the Mojo Platform for 1 (one) “Share” of a given Player. For Prop Bets, this is also the prediction of a Player’s achievement of a particular stat over a specific timeframe.

6. “Multiplier” refers to a free feature on the Mojo Platform that multiplies the potential profits or losses on a Patron’s Wager.

7. “Going Long” means that a Patron desires to Wager that a Player will exceed his current Share Price.

8. “Going Short” means that a Patron desires to Wager that a Player will fall short of his current Share Price.

9. “Settlement” refers to the closing of a Wager position, either because any of the Automatic Settlement criteria (see below) have been met, a Patron chooses to Cash Out of a Wager, or due to a violation of these House Rules and/or the Terms and Conditions of Use.

10. “Automatic Settlement” refers to the process by which Mojo automatically closes or Settles a Wager on a Player that appears on the Mojo Platform when certain criteria are met.

11. “Active Roster” is a Player status that will be determined via a third party. Being on an active roster includes being on a roster with any of the following designations for the NFL: Active; Exempt; On the Injured Reserve list; On the Injured Reserve – Designated to Return list; Non-Football related Injury Reserve list; On a Practice squad; Physically Unable to Perform list, or; Suspended. Except in rare situations, Players who are under contract with an NFL team will have one of these designations. For an NBA Player, this will mean being on an NBA roster. For a MLB Player, this will mean being on the 40-man roster of a professional MLB team. On the Mojo platform, the 40-man roster will include Players that appear on the official 40-man roster list for each MLB team, MLB’s Restricted List, Suspended List, 60-day Injured List, Military List, or any other list in which MLB deems an active or inactive Player to be part of a team’s 40-man roster while on such lists (40-man roster, in addition to the aforementioned lists, will collectively be known as the “40-man Roster”).

12. “Cash Out” is a special feature on the Mojo Platform which involves Mojo buying back a Patron’s Wager on a Player, if that Patron so chooses, during Mojo’s market hours. This provides the Patron with instant liquidity on their Wagers.

13. “Prohibited Person” is a Patron that falls into any of the following categories:

  • Persons under the age of 21;
  • Persons on any exclusion list, including self-exclusion lists;
  • Any person making a Wager on the account of or for any other person;
  • Any person who is an athlete, coach, referee, direct or indirect owner of 10% or greater, or director of a sports governing body or any of its members teams, a Player or a referee personnel member, in or on any sports event overseen by that person's sports governing body, a person who holds a position of authority or influence sufficient to exert influence over the participants in a sporting contest, including, but not limited to, coaches, managers, handlers, athletic trainers, a person with access to certain types of exclusive information on any sports event overseen by that person's sports governing body, or a person identified by any lists provided by the sports governing body to the NJDGE or the NJRC, may not place a Wager on a sports event that is overseen by that person's sports governing body.

14. “Error” is a mistake, misprint, misinterpretation, mishearing, misreading, mistranslation, spelling mistake, technical hazard, registration error, transaction error, manifest error, force majeure and/or similar. A non–exhaustive list of “obvious errors” is as follows:

  • the prices/terms offered at the time the Wager is placed are clearly incorrect;
  • odds or terms of a Wager have been misquoted as a result of human or system error;
  • where an error is made by us as to the amount of winnings/returns that are paid to you, including as a result of a manual or computer input error.

15. “Influence Wagering” is an act, prohibited by Mojo, where a Patron, or parties acting in association with a Patron, can influence the outcome of a game or an event - directly or indirectly, so as to influence the Share Price of a Player.

HOW IT WORKS – OVERVIEW

Mojo offers an over/under futures Wager where Patrons can use their sports knowledge to make bets on the short-term performance of a Player, as well as the career performance of a Player.

I) THE CAREER STAT

a. THE CAREER STAT:

Mojo uses a formula called Mojo Value to capture the value of a Player’s accumulated career performance. Mojo Value is derived from a weighted compilation of specific statistical categories more fully described below and is calculated at the end of a Player’s career, or upon Automatic Settlement of a Wager on that Player (as more fully explained below).

b. THE SHARE PRICE

The Share Price is Mojo’s prediction of the Player’s professional career ending Mojo Value at that Player’s Retirement. Patrons should think of this like a “line” on a Player’s professional career ending Mojo Value. Mojo’s Share Price is based on a combination of the actual stats already achieved by a Player in their professional career, plus a projection of that Player’s future professional stats. To clarify, a College Football,  College Basketball and minor league baseball Player’s Share Price on the Mojo Platform will be a reflection of Mojo’s projected professional career Mojo Value for that College Player or minor league Player. If that College Player never gets drafted to the NFL, NBA or MLB for example, or if the minor league Player never gets called up to the Major Leagues, their Mojo Value would be “0,” as would their Share Price.

c. THE WAGER

Mojo will set the Share Price for a Player. If Patrons believe that the Player will overperform Mojo’s Share Price, they can make an “Over Bet” or take a “Long” position on that Player. For a Long style Wager, the Patron will win one dollar for every point that the Player’s career ending Mojo Value exceeds Mojo’s line at the time the Patron makes the Wager (assuming the Patron Wagers the full amount of the Player’s Share Price; more on this below in the section entitled “Can I Wager Less than a Player’s Full Share Price?”). Conversely, the Patron will lose one dollar for every point that the Player’s Mojo Value is lower than Mojo’s Share Price at the time the Patron makes the Wager.

If Patrons believe that the Player will underperform Mojo’s Share Price, they can place an “Under Wager” or take a “Short” position on that Player.  For a Short style Wager, Patrons will win one dollar for every point that the Player’s career ending Mojo Value is below the Share Price at the time the Patron makes the Wager and will lose one dollar for every point that the Player’s Mojo Value is above the Share Price at the time the Patron makes the Wager.  A Patron’s losses when taking a short position are capped in certain ways, as more fully described below in the section entitled “How Do I Make Money.”

Once a Patron makes a Wager on a Player, that Player’s initial Share Price is locked-in for that Patron, and the Patron’s payout formula for that specific Player is immutable based on the Player’s Mojo Value at retirement or at Automatic Settlement (see more about “Automatic Settlement” below in the section entitled “When Are Wagers Settled”).

While Mojo sets the Share Price of a Player based on that Player’s professional Mojo Value, a Patron may also bet dollar amounts of their choosing that represent a fractional percentage of the Share Price, and receive a corresponding fractional return (or loss) on their Wager. Please see more below in the section entitled “Can I Wager Less Than a Player’s Share Price?”

d. HOW DO WE DEFINE MOJO VALUE:

Mojo Value is a formula we use to approximate a Player’s real-world value. This formula weights various statistical categories accumulated by a Player during all regular season and playoff games by applying a specific monetary value to different categories of statistics. The Mojo Value formula is then applied to a Player’s actual career stats to come up with that Player’s Mojo Value. As a reminder, only stats accumulated by a Player during regular season and playoff games will be used in Mojo’s Mojo Value calculations.

i) NFL: The Mojo Value formula for NFL Players is calculated as follows:

  • .01 for every 10 yards gained in a Player’s professional career;
  • .02 for every TD earned in a Player’s professional career (including Special Teams);
  • .02 for every play of 40 yards or more earned in a Player’s professional career;
  • .01 for every first down gained in a Player’s professional career;
  • -.04 for every turnover in a Player’s professional career (including Special Teams);
  • -.01 for each sack against the Player, in a Player’s professional career (QBs only).

Example: Philip Rivers’ Mojo Value would have equated to the following:
(.01 * 66,435/10 Yards) + (.02 * 441 TDs) + (.02 * 145 40yd plays) + (.01 * 3,331 1st downs) -(.04 * 268 TOs) – (.01 * 491 Sacks) = 96.472 Mojo Value

The 96.472 Mojo Value would therefore be Philip Rivers career ending Share Price ($96.47).
Super Bowl Boost: Without a Patron needing to do anything on their end, any Player that a Patron has wagered on that plays for the team that wins a Super Bowl in a given year, will automatically have a 5x Boost applied to any stats that a Player accumulates during the Super Bowl, for Mojo Value calculation purposes. Super Bowl Example: Matthew Stafford’s Mojo Value accumulated during the Super Bowls he played in and won would equate to the following:

5 * [(.01 * 283/10 Yards) + (.02 * 3 TDs) + (0.02 * 0 40yd plays) + (.01 * 14 1st downs) – (.04 * 2 TOs) – (.01 * 2 Sacks)] = 1.945 Mojo Value

The 1.945 Mojo Value would be added to Stafford’s career regular season and playoff Mojo Value for a total Mojo Value calculation.

For a Player that is currently being offered on the Platform, Mojo will establish the Share Price by projecting the Player’s professional career-ending Mojo Value. Mojo projects an active Player’s Mojo Value by (i) calculating the Player’s actual, historical Mojo Value based on stats already achieved during the Player’s professional career, and (ii) adding Mojo’s prediction of the Player’s future professional stats.  Mojo uses a proprietary algorithm to
project the Player’s future stats.  Therefore, the Player’s Share Price will be comprised of past actual stats and predicted future stats.

For a College Football Player, Mojo establishes the Share Price by projecting the Player’s professional career-ending Mojo Value. For these College Players, Mojo Value consists
solely of Mojo’s prediction of the Player’s future professional stats.

ii) NBA: The Mojo Value formula for NBA Players is calculated as follows:

  • 0.01 point for every point scored in a Player’s professional career;
  • 0.005 for every rebound in a Player’s professional career;
  • 0.0075 for every assist in a Player’s professional career;
  • 0.0125 for every steal in a Player’s professional career;
  • 0.0125 for every block in a Player’s professional career;
  • 0.005 for every 3-point shot made in a Player’s professional career

  • -.0125 for every turnover made in a Player’s professional career;
  • -.01 for every missed field goal in a Player’s professional career;
  • -.005 for every missed free throw in a Player’s professional career;
  • PLUS MINUS

NBA Finals Championship Boost:Without a Patron needing to do anything on their end, any Player that a Patron has wagered on that plays for a team that wins any game in the NBA Finals in a given year, will automatically have a 5x Boost applied to any stats that a Player accumulates during that Finals win, for Mojo Value calculation purposes.

Mojo uses a proprietary algorithm to project the Player’s future stats.  Therefore, the Player’s Share Price will be comprised of past actual stats and predicted future stats.

For a College Basketball Player, Mojo establishes the Share Price by projecting the Player’s professional NBA career-ending Mojo Value. For these College Players, Mojo Value consists solely of Mojo’s prediction of the Player’s future professional stats.

iii. MLB: The Mojo Value formula for MLB Players is calculated as follows:

Hitters:

  • 0.05 point per Base (Total Bases + Base on Balls + Stolen Base + Hit By Pitch)
  • -0.02 per Out (At Bat – Hit + Caught Stealing + Grounded Into Double Play)
    Grounded Into Double Play counts as two Outs for purposes of the Mojo Value formula
  • -0.01 per Strikeout
  • +0.01 per 9 Innings at Short Stop /Catcher/Center Fielder

Pitchers:

  • +0.05 point per Inning Pitched
  • -0.05 per Earned Run Allowed
  • +0.02 per Save
  • +0.03 per Strikeout
  • -0.04 per Base on Balls/Hit By Pitch
  • -0.10 per Home Run

World Series Boost:
Without a Patron needing to do anything on their end, any Player that a Patron has wagered on that plays for a team that wins any game in the World Series in a given year, will automatically have a 5x Boost applied to any stats that a Player accumulates during that World Series win, for Mojo Value calculation purposes.

For a Player that is currently being offered on the Platform, Mojo will establish the Share Price by projecting the Player’s Major League Baseball (exclusive of Minor Leagues and non-U.S. professional leagues) career-ending Mojo Value in the MLB. Mojo projects an active Player’s Mojo Value by (i) calculating the Player’s actual, historical Mojo Value based on stats already achieved during the Player’s Major League Baseball career, and (ii) adding Mojo’s prediction of the Player’s future Major League Baseball stats.  Mojo uses a proprietary algorithm to project the Player’s future stats.  Therefore, the Player’s Share Price will be comprised of past actual stats and predicted future stats.

For a Minor League Baseball Player or a College Baseball Player, Mojo establishes the Share Price by projecting the Player’s professional MLB career-ending Mojo Value. For these Minor League Players and College Baseball Players, Mojo Value consists solely of Mojo’s prediction of the Player’s future MLB-level professional stats.

II) SHORT-TERM PROP BETS (COLLECTIVELY, THE “PROP BETS”):

a. TIMEFRAME - SPECIFIC PROP BETS

Mojo sets a “Price” for a specific statistic (“Statistic”) related to a Player or Team, which is based on Mojo’s prediction of that Player’s or Team’s achievement of that Statistic over a specified timeframe (“Timeframe”) that is of a shorter duration than that Player’s career. The Wager on the Statistic related to that Player or Team’s performance is automatically settled when the Timeframe completes. Patrons should think of this “Price” like a “line” on a Player or Team’s Statistic over the Timeframe. Mojo’s Price is based solely on a projection of a specific Statistic for a Player or Team for the Timeframe.

If Patrons believe that a Player or Team will overperform Mojo’s Price for the offered Statistic over the Timeframe, they can make an “Over Bet” or take a “Long” position on that Player or Team’s offered Statistic. By way of example, if the Statistic is “touchdowns thrown over the course of a game” for a specific Player, and the “line” on this statistic is “3,” Mojo’s expectation is that the Player will throw 3 touchdowns during the game, and the Price prior to the beginning of the game will be $3.00. For a Long-style Wager, the Patron will win one dollar for every thrown touchdown over the three (3) thrown touchdowns that were predicted (i.e., if the Player throws 4 touchdowns, the Patron wins $1.00 for each “Share” of this line). Conversely, the Patron would lose one dollar for every thrown touchdown under the three thrown touchdowns that were predicted (i.e., if the Player throws 2 touchdowns, the Patron loses $1.00 for each “Share” of this line).

If Patrons believe that the Player will underperform Mojo’s Price for the Statistic over the Timeframe, they can make an “Under Bet” or take a “Short” position on that Player or Team’s Statistic. Further, a Patron can wager multiple “Shares” of this line. For a Short-style Wager, the Patron will win one dollar for every thrown touchdown under the three (3) thrown touchdowns that were predicted (i.e., if the Player throws 2 touchdowns, the Patron wins $1.00 for each “Share” of this line). Conversely, the Patron would lose one dollar for every thrown touchdown over the three thrown touchdowns that were predicted (i.e., if the Player throws 4 touchdowns, the Patron loses $1.00 for each “Share” of this line).

A Patron’s losses when taking a short position are capped in certain ways (for example, a Patron can never lose more money than they wagered with, even if they use “Multipliers” on Short-style Wagers, as described below).

Once a Patron makes a Wager on a Player or Team’s Statistic, that Price or line is locked-in for that Patron for the specified timeframe of the wager, if the Patron chooses to keep their Wager live for that Timeframe.  The bet will automatically settle at the end of the designated time frame or once the event has ended.  However, Mojo allows Patrons to sell their positions at any time during the Timeframe, as the line on the Statistic for a Player or Team will move constantly based on that Player or Team’s performance during the Timeframe, and Mojo’s new expectations for that Statistic as it relates to the Player or Team. For example, if the Statistic is “touchdowns thrown over the course of a game” for a specific Player, and the “line” on this statistic is “3,” Mojo’s expectation is that the Player will throw 3 touchdowns during the game, and the Price prior to the beginning of the game will be $3.00. However, if that Player quickly scores 2 touchdowns, Mojo’s expectation for that Player could increase to 4 or 5 touchdowns. The line (and the shown Price) will constantly move depending on the Player’s performance. In this example, the price being shown to Patrons could increase to $4.00 or $4.50. The Patron could therefore cash out of their position at any point and make a profit. Similarly, if that Patron wants to re-open a Wager during the Timeframe, at the then-current Price on the Mojo app, they are free to do so.

While Mojo sets the Price of a Player or Team’s Statistic based on the expected outcome over a certain amount of time, a Patron may also bet dollar amounts of their choosing that represent a fractional percentage of the Price and receive a corresponding fractional return (or loss) on their Wager.

The Mojo platform will also offer “Multipliers” on certain Statistics. The underlying Wager described above is the same, but a Multiplier increases the potential profits or losses on that Wager. Continuing the example above in which the Statistic is “touchdowns thrown over the course of a game” for a specific Player, and the “line” on this Statistic is “3,” Mojo’s expectation is that the Player will throw 3 touchdowns during the game, and the Price prior to the beginning of the game will be $3.00. If a Patron makes an over-style Wager on this offering for $3, while also using a 3x Multiplier, and the Player winds up throwing 4 touchdowns, the Patron will profit $3 ($1 for every touchdown over 3, multiplied by 3). If a Patron makes a $3 under-style Wager using a 3x Multiplier, and the Player throws 2 touchdowns, they will win $3 ($1 for every touchdown under 3, multiplied by 3). For clarity, as an added benefit to our Patrons, on an under-style bet, a Patron can never lose more than the amount of their initial Wager on a Player or Team’s Statistic when using Multipliers.

b. OUTCOME PROBABILITY BETS:

Mojo offers short-term Outcome Probability Bets. These are bets that provide Patrons with the probability of a specific outcome, over a specific timeframe (“Timeframe”), on a scale of 0 to 1 (representing the percentage likelihood of a specified outcome; i.e 0.60 represents a 60% likelihood of a specified result). This probability number acts as the “line” on a bet, as well as the price that the Patron would have to pay to wager on the represented outcome. A Patron will also be able to purchase multiple “Shares” of that line, as will be described in further detail below. When the Timeframe ends, each of these wagers will either settle at $100 or $0, depending on the actual outcome of the underlying event or statistic that the wager is based on.

By way of example, if the Mojo app offers a wager for an upcoming Giants vs Eagles, and the probability of the Giants winning (as determined by Mojo) is 35%, the price that will be offered to Patrons on that Wager will be $35. If a Patron buys a “Share” of this bet, and the Giants win that game, the bet will settle at $100, and the Patron will be paid $100, for a profit of $65. If the Giants lose the game, the bet will settle at $0, and the Patron will lose their $35 wager. A Patron will be able to buy multiple Shares of a wager like this. In this prior example, if a Patron wanted to purchase 10 Shares of the bet at $35, it would cost them $350.

The line (and the shown price) will constantly move depending on new expected outcomes of the bet throughout the Timeframe. In this example, the price being shown to Patrons could increase to $40.00 or $50.00 if the Giants play well early on in the game. The Patron could therefore cash out of their position at any point and make a profit. Similarly, if that Patron wants to re-open a wager during the Timeframe, at the then-current Price on the Mojo app (representing the then-current expected probability of an outcome), they are free to do so.

While Mojo sets the price of a wager based on the expected outcome of an event or statistic over a certain amount of time, a Patron may also bet dollar amounts of their choosing that represent a fractional percentage of the price and receive a corresponding fractional return (or loss) on their wager.

The Mojo platform may also offer “Multipliers” on certain wagers.  The underlying wager described above is the same, but a Multiplier multiplies the potential profits or losses on that wager. For clarity, as an added benefit to our Patrons, a Patron can never lose more than the amount of their initial wager.

HOW DO I WIN MONEY?

Unlike a traditional betting line, where Patrons either win or lose their entire Wager, Mojo provides a different type of Wager.

I) ON A CAREER BET

Mojo will pay out one dollar for every Mojo Value point that the Player achieved when a Patron desires to Cash Out of their position, or if/when that Player reaches any of the Automatic Settlement criteria delineated below. Remember, Patrons can choose to Cash Out at any time for a profit if the Share Price of the Player they made a Wager on increases (see more on Cash Out below in section entitled “What Does Cash Out Mean”).

As an example, if a Player’s Share Price is at $50 right now, Mojo’s prediction at that moment in time is that Player’s Mojo Value will be $50 upon Automatic Settlement. If a Patron thinks a Player’s Share Price at $50 is too low (undervalued), the Patron could place a long Wager (more in “Going Long” below), and would profit if the Mojo Value ultimately ends up higher for that Player than $50. If a Patron thinks a Player’s Share Price at $50 is too high, the Patron could place a short Wager (“Going Short” below), and would profit if the Mojo Value ultimately ends lower than $50 for that Player.

Going Long
Going Long is wagering a Player will exceed his current Share Price.

  • For a Long style Wager, the per Share payout at Settlement will be the final accumulated Mojo Value.
  • By way of example, if a Player’s Share Price is $10, and a Patron believes this Share Price is lower than what the Player’s final career Mojo Value will be, the Patron can take a Long Wager or an “over” style Wager on that Player. If the Patron wagered $10 (reflecting the full Share Price for that Player), and at the end of the Player’s career or at Settlement, their Mojo Value ends up at $15, the Patron would receive a payout of $15, and will have profited $5. Conversely, if a Patron wagered $10 on a Player in order to make a Long style Wager (reflecting the full Share Price for that Player), and that Player’s final Mojo Value was $7, the Patron would receive a payout of $7, resulting in a loss to that Patron of $3. Lastly, if the Mojo Value for that Player is negative (for example, because a quarterback was sacked a lot), the final accumulated Mojo Value for purposes of this payout formula will simply be “$0,” and the Patron will not owe additional money.

Going Short
Going Short is wagering a Player will fail to reach his current Share Price.

  • For a Short style Wager, the per Share payout at Settlement will be:

[initial Wager - final Mojo Value] + initial Wager. Notwithstanding the above, a Patron can never lose more than the amount they initially wagered.

  • By way of example, if a Player’s current Share Price is $10, and a Patron believes this price is higher than what they think a Player’s final Mojo Value will be, they can take an “under” style, or Short Wager on the Player. If the Patron wagers the full $10 Share Price in order to go Short on a Player, the Patron will profit $1 for every final Mojo Value point that is below that Patron’s initial Share Price at the time of their Wager. If at the end of that Player’s career or at Settlement, their Mojo Value is actually $5, the Patron would receive a payout of $15 (initial Wager of $10 + $1 for each Mojo Value point below the initial price), and will have profited $5. Conversely, if that Player’s final Mojo Value was $17, the Patron would receive a payout of $3 ($10 + ($10-$17), resulting in a loss to that Patron of $7. Additionally, as an added benefit, a Patron will not lose more than the initial Wager – if the initial Short style Wager is $10 (reflecting the full Share Price of that Player) and the final accumulated Mojo Value is 20, the Patron will have lost all $10. If the final accumulated Mojo Value is 21, the Patron will still have only lost all $10, and will not owe Mojo an additional $1.

II) ON A TIMEFRAME-SPECIFIC PROP BETS

If a Patron takes a Long position, he or she will win one dollar for every Statistic that the Player achieved over the “line” or Price that Mojo sets for that Statistic during the Timeframe, and will lose one dollar for every one Statistic that is under the “line” or price that Mojo sets for that Statistic. Alternatively, if a Patron takes a Short position,  the Patron will win one dollar for every one Statistic that is under the “line” or Price that Mojo sets for that Statistic during the Timeframe and the Patron will lose one dollar for every Statistic that the Player achieved that is over the “line” or price that Mojo sets for that Statistic. Patrons can choose to Cash Out at any time for a profit (or loss) prior to the completion of the Timeframe (see more on Cash Out below in section entitled “What Does Cash Out Mean”).

There may be Timeframe-Specific Prop Bets that do not offer both a Long position and a Short position. Mojo, in its sole discretion, will determine which Timeframe-Specific Prop Bets offer Long positions, Short positions, or both.

Additionally, while Timeframe-Specific Prop Bets are tied to a precise Timeframe, Automatic Settlement of these Wagers may not occur immediately after that Timeframe concludes. That being said, Patrons will be able to immediately close out of their Wagers upon the completion of the Timeframe.

III) ON AN OUTCOME SPECIFIC PROBABILITY PROP BET

Mojo will pay out $100 for each share of a winning Wager.  The amount a Patron wins is determined by the Percentage chance of winning (i.e. the Price) at the time they place the Wager. Patrons’ winnings will therefore be calculated by subtracting the winning percentage from 100. If a Patron loses the Wager, their loss will be equal to the amount they wagered.

By way of example, if Mojo offers a wager for an upcoming Giants vs. Eagles game, and the probability of the Giants winning (as determined by Mojo) is 35%, the Price that will be offered to Patrons on that Wager will be $35. If a Patron buys a “Share” of this bet, and the Giants win that game, the bet will settle at $100 (reflecting 100%), and the Patron will be paid $100, for a profit of $65. If the Giants lose the game, the bet will settle at $0, and the Patron will lose their $35 wager. If during the game, the probability of the Giants winning increases to 40%, the line will move to $40.00, and the Patron could therefore cash out of their position for a $5 profit. Similarly, if that Patron wants to re-open a wager during the Timeframe, at the then-current Price on the Mojo app (representing the then-current expected probability of an outcome), they are free to do so.

CAN I WAGER LESS THAN A PLAYER’S SHARE PRICE ON A CAREER BET, OR LESS THAN THE PRICE THAT IS SET ON A TIMEFRAME - SPECIFIC PROP BET OR OUTCOME PROBABILITY BETS?

As a benefit to Patrons, we do not require that they place a Wager in the amount of a Player’s full Share Price on a career bet, or in the amount of the full Price or line on a shorter-term bet. While Mojo sets the Share Price of a Player based on Mojo’s prediction for that Player’s professional career ending Mojo Value, a Patron may also bet dollar amounts of their choosing that represent a fractional percentage of the Share Price and receive a corresponding fractional return (or loss) on their Wager. For example, if a Player is priced at $50 and a Patron made a Wager in the amount of $25, a Patron would receive half of the payout for that Player upon his Retirement. So if that Player’s final Mojo Value at Retirement was $60, the Patron would receive $30. If that Player’s final Mojo Value was $40, the Patron would receive $20. Similarly, While Mojo sets the Price of a Statistic for a Player during a specified Timeframe based on Mojo’s prediction for that Statistic a Patron may also bet dollar amounts of their choosing that represent a fractional percentage of that Price and receive a corresponding fractional return (or loss) on their Wager.

PRICE MOVEMENT

Prices move in real time. Mojo is constantly revising each Player’s Share Price based on its then current projections for that Player’s career ending Mojo Value.  Additionally, Mojo may revise the Price on a Statistic based on its then current projections for that Statistic during the Timeframe. As one example, when a Player accumulates stats during games, the line on that Player’s Mojo Value may change with more known actual stats and new estimates for future stats. This could cause a Player's Share Price to either go up or down depending on how well they played. Similarly, the line on a Statistic may change during a Timeframe if a Player performs well early on during the Timeframe. Further, every event — both on and off the field — can influence performance projections. Trades, injuries, suspensions and other events all may have an impact on a Player’s Mojo Value, and therefore on their Share Price.

Example
: What happens if a Player gets traded?

  • Quarterback X is currently a backup, but he gets traded to another team whose starting quarterback recently suffered an injury. Player X’s career Mojo Value will likely increase based on more playing time and higher estimated future stats, which would lead to a higher Share Price.

Example: What happens if a Player gets injured or suspended?

  • Injuries are part of sports and suspensions happen from time to time. Depending on the severity of an injury or the length of a suspension, such events could have an impact on Mojo Value.

Example: What happens when a Player retires?

  • When a Player retires, Wagers settle for cash based on actual stats, which are valued in the Mojo Value formula. Because Players sometimes change their minds, Players must meet the “Automatic Settlement” criteria (see below) to be considered “retired” on Mojo. If a Player retires, Patrons will be able to continue placing Wagers on that Player until the Automatic Settlement criteria becomes applicable (described below).

WHAT ARE “MULTIPLIERS”?

The Mojo platform offers Multiplier multipliers on certain Players and/or Statistics related to Players or games (for Timeframe-Specific Prop Bets), as well as outcomes of a certain event happening (for Outcome Probability Bets).  The underlying Wager described above is the same, but a Multiplier multiplies the potential profits or losses on that Wager. For clarity, as an added benefit to our Patrons, a Patron can never lose more than the amount of their initial Wager on a Player when using Multipliers.

MULTIPLIERS ON LONG SYLE WAGERS

For example, if a Patron makes a Long style Wager on a Player priced at $10, and that Player’s Mojo Value on Settlement reaches $15, the Patron would receive a $15 payout on a standard Wager, representing a $5 profit (assuming the Patron Wagered the full price for 1 Share of that Player).  If the Patron had applied a 3x Multiplier to that Wager, their profit would triple to $15 (total payout would equal $25, representing a $10 return for their initial Wager, plus a $15 profit).

If, however, the Patron made the same Wager on a Player with a Share Price of $10, and that Player ended his career with an Mojo Value of $7, the Patron would receive a payment of $7, representing a $3 loss (assuming the Patron Wagered the full price for 1 Share of that Player). If they had applied the same 3x Multiplier, their loss would triple to $9 (total payout would equal $1, representing a return of their $10 Wager minus their $9 loss).

Here is the precise formula for per Share payout:

[(Final Mojo Value– initial Price) × Multiplier + initial upfront Wager].

In the examples above the formula would be applied as follows. For clarity, the examples assume that the Patron is Wagering the full amount for 1 Share of the Player in this example ($10 in these examples):

Winning Wager
If a Patron is wagering a Long style Wager with a 3x Multiplier on a Player with a current Share Price of $10, and that Player’s final Mojo Value was 15 (i.e. $15 Share Price), the payout would be:

(($15 - $10) × 3) + $10 = $25 (for a profit of $15).

Losing Wager
If a Patron are wagering a Long style Wager with a 3x Multiplier on a Player with a current Share Price of $10, and that Player’s final Mojo Value was 7 (i.e. $7 Share Price), the payout would be:

(($7-$10) × 3) + $10 = $1 (for a loss of $9).

MULTIPLIERS ON SHORT SYLE WAGERS

As another example, if a Patron makes a Short style Wager on a Player priced at $10, and that Player’s Mojo Value on Settlement goes to $7, the Patron would receive a $13 payout on a standard Wager, representing a $3 profit.

If the Patron had applied a 3x Multiplier to that Wager, their profit would triple to $9 (total payout would equal $19, representing a $10 return for their initial Wager, plus a $9 profit).

If, however, the Patron made the same Short style Wager on a Player with a Share Price of $10, and that Player ended his career with an Mojo Value of $13, the Patron would receive a payment of $7 upon cashing out, representing a $3 loss.

If they had applied the same 3x Multiplier to that Wager, their loss would triple to $9 (total payout would equal $1, representing their $10 Wager minus their $9 loss).

For clarity, as an added benefit, a Patron’s loss can never exceed their initial Wager even if the Multiplier payout formula would equate to less than $0 (see example 3 below for more on this).

Here is the precise formula for per Share payout:

(Initial Price - Final accumulated Mojo Value) x Multiplier + initial upfront Wager

In the examples below, the formula would be applied as follows. For clarity, the examples assume that the Patron is Wagering the full amount for 1 Share of the Player in this example ($10 in these examples):

Winning Wager
If a Patron is wagering a Short style Wager with a 3x Multiplier on a Player with a current Share price of $10, and that Player’s final Mojo Value was 7 ($7 Share Price), their payout would be:
(($10 - $7) × 3) + $10, or $19 (for a profit of $9).

Losing Wager

If a Patron is wagering a Short style Wager with a 3x Multiplier on a Player with a current Share Price of $10, and that Player’s final Mojo Value was 13 ($13 Share Price), their payout would be:
(($10 - $13) × 3) +$10, or $1 (for a loss of $9).

For clarity, as another example of a Losing Wager
If a Patron is wagering a short style Wager with a 3x Multiplier on a Player with a current Share Price of $10, and that Player’s final Mojo Value was 15 ($15 Share Price), their payout would be:
(($10 - $15) × 3) +10, or -$5 (for a loss of $15).

Since in this example, the actual value is below $0, a Patron’s losses would simply be capped at that Patron’s initial Wager, and the Patron would not owe Mojo any other money.

Multipliers will not be offered on all Players. Mojo, in its sole discretion, will decide whether or not a Multiplier will be offered on a specific Player.

CAN WAGERS AUTOMATICALLY SETTLE?

Patrons may Cash Out of their position at any time (as described above), but Wagers will automatically settle if any one of the following conditions are met (“Automatic Settlement”):

For the NFL

I) ANY PLAYER THAT:

  1. Any Player on which Mojo has taken Wagers has been off of an NFL Active Roster for 4 consecutive weeks from the start of the season, or for 4 weeks prior to the end of that NFL regular season;
  2. If for some reason, the NFL season is cut short, Wagers will be Settled on any Player on which Mojo has taken Wagers that has been off of an Active Roster for 4 weeks prior to the final game played of that NFL season.

Wagers on a Player will Automatically Settle according to that Player’s then-current career accumulated Mojo Value, and Wagers on that Player will be disabled at the time of Automatic Settlement. For purposes of determining whether or not Automatic Settlement should apply, “Active Roster” status will be determined via a third party, which updates roster status on a daily basis during the season. Being on an active roster includes being on a roster with any of the following designations:

  • Active
  • Exempt
  • On the Injured Reserve list
  • On the Injured Reserve – Designated to Return list
  • Non-Football related Injury Reserve list
  • On a Practice squad
  • Physically Unable to Perform list
  • Suspended

Except in rare situations, Players who are under contract with an NFL team will have one of these designations.

Mojo will therefore be agnostic to rumors, reports and even formal announcements regarding retirement. The objective Automatic Settlement criteria will provide clarity to Patrons who may choose to utilize Cash Out, speculate on a Player’s return to the sport, or simply wait for their Wager to settle under Mojo’s Terms and Conditions.

From time to time, a Players return to an active roster after an extended absence from the sport. If a Player subsequently returns to an active roster after Wagers on that Player have already been settled, Mojo may, in its sole discretion, make that Player available to Patrons for new Wagers. Previously settled Wagers are closed and cannot be “unsettled” or otherwise reactivated.

For College Football

  1. Any Player on which Mojo has taken Wagers is not on a College Football Active Roster as of the first game of the then-current College Football season, AND that Player has not declared for the next NFL Draft as of the first week of April;
  2. If for some reason an entire College Football or NFL season is canceled, no Automatic Settlement of any Wagers will occur.

If a College Football Player transfers to any college or school that is located within the state of New Jersey, Wagers attempted on that Player, after the Player transfers, will not be accepted on the Mojo Platform. Existing Wagers by Patrons on a College Football Player that transfers to a New Jersey school (that were opened pre-transfer) will be held by Mojo in those Patrons’ accounts until:

  1. A transferring Player is drafted by an NFL team. At that point, Patrons would be able to close such existing Wagers on that Player, or make a new Wager on that Player;
  2. Automatic Settlement conditions above are met and are applied to a specific Wager.

Patrons who wish to withdraw funds that are currently being held by Mojo, relating to a pre-transfer Wager made on a College Football Player that transfers to a New Jersey school, may contact Mojo to make such a request. Mojo, in its sole discretion, can approve or deny any such request.

Wagers on a Player will Automatically Settle according to that Player’s then-current career accumulated Mojo Value, and Wagers on that Player will be disabled at the time of Automatic Settlement.

For Basketball

Automatic Settlement for NBA players will apply to any Player that satisfies all of the following criteria:

  1. The player is at least 23 years old;
  2. The player has been off of an NBA or G-League Active Roster for 4 consecutive weeks calculated from the end of that NBA regular season.
  3. If a Player is not on the Mojo Platform at the start of the NBA season, but is subsequently placed on the Mojo Platform, that Player will be subject to the same Automatic Settlement criteria;
  4. If for some reason, the NBA season is cut short, Wagers will be Settled on any Player that has been off of an Active Roster for 4 consecutive weeks calculated from the end of that shortened NBA regular season (or for the entirety of that shortened NBA season if that season lasts less than four weeks).

Wagers on a Player will Automatically Settle according to that Player’s then-current career accumulated Mojo Value, and Wagers on that Player will be disabled at the time of Automatic Settlement.

Mojo currently does not offer Wagers on Minnesota Timberwolves Players. For Career Bets, if a Patron makes a Wager on a Player that is traded to or drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Wager on that Player will automatically settle at the higher of either:

  • the amount Wagered by the Patron;

OR

  • the total Mojo Value that was accumulated by that Player at the time the Player was traded or drafted.

(Collectively, “Minnesota Timberwolves Automatic Settlement”). If at any point in the future Mojo begins offering Minnesota Timberwolves Players on its platform, the Minnesota Timberwolves Automatic Settlement criteria will no longer apply, and Mojo’s regular Automatic Settlement criteria for basketball will be applied to any Player that is currently on the Minnesota Timberwolves roster, any Player that is traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, or any Player that is drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Mojo will be agnostic to rumors, reports and even formal announcements regarding retirement.

For Baseball

1. Automatic Settlement for MLB players, amateur international players and professional international players will apply if either of the following criteria are satisfied:

a. The Player is not on the 40-man Roster of an MLB team by June 1st of the fifth (5th) year after that Player’s professional debut with a Minor League affiliate of an MLB team, or any year thereafter, OR;

b. If the Player makes a 40-man Roster in one year but is not on a 40-man Roster the following year. By way of example, if a Player debuts in 2018, that Player must be on a MLB team’s 40-man Roster by June 1, 2023. By further way of example, if a Player debuts in 2018, makes an MLB team’s 40-man Roster in 2019, but is not on any 40-man Roster in 2020, that Player will automatically settle.

2. If a Player has never been listed on the Mojo Platform at the start of the MLB season, but is subsequently placed on the Mojo Platform, that Player will be subject to the same Automatic Settlement criteria;

3. If for some reason, the MLB season is cut short, the shortened MLB season will count as one (1) full season for purposes of Automatic Settlement calculations.

Wagers on a Player will Automatically Settle according to that Player’s then-current career accumulated Mojo Value, and Wagers on that Player will be disabled at the time of Automatic Settlement. Automatic Settlement will occur within 30 days of the June 1st cutoff in an applicable year.

CAN A PLAYER’S SHARE PRICE GO TO $0?

Yes, that can happen if a Player’s Mojo Value formula equates to “0.”

DO I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL A PLAYER RETIRES TO GET MY PAYOUT?

Absolutely not! Mojo offers a Cash Out feature that reflects the changing perception of a Player’s career ending Mojo Value. Based on these projections, Mojo will constantly be setting new Share Prices (“lines”) at which a Patron can buy Shares of a Player, as well as a price at which Mojo will buy back Shares of Players that a Patron would like to cash out of.

WHAT DOES CASH OUT MEAN?

Mojo will offer Patrons a “Cash Out” feature on their Wagers, which involves Mojo buying back a Patron’s Wager on a Player, if that Patron so chooses, during Mojo’s market hours. The Cash Out price being offered to a Patron may, in Mojo’s sole discretion, differ from a Player’s actual Share Price on the Mojo Platform.

WHEN CAN I MAKE TRADES?

Patrons can make trades any time the platform is open. Mojo will post updated trading hours on its app and/or website. Of course, under extraordinary circumstances – including, but not limited to, situations when there may be reason to believe that the market has been manipulated in some way, or when there is an injury to a Player but it remains unclear as to how serious the injury is – like any market it can be suspended for short intervals while Mojo investigates (learn more here).

GENERAL RULES

WAGER ACCEPTANCE
  1. A Wager is not valid until it is validated and shows in the Patron’s Wager history. In cases of uncertainty about the validity of a Wager, the Patron is requested to check his/her open (pending) Wagers, or contact Customer Service.
  2. Should a dispute arise about the acceptance (or lack thereof) of any transaction in the Patron’s account, the transaction log database will be the ultimate authority in deciding such matters.

WAGERING AND PAYOUT LIMITATIONS
  1. Mojo reserves the right to limit the maximum Wager amount such that any Wager or combination of Wagers by one Patron does not exceed a certain threshold, to be determined by Mojo in its sole discretion. The maximum Wager amount for any one Patron will be made know to that Patron via the Mojo Platform. This limit may be changed by Mojo in Mojo’ sole discretion.
  2. Mojo reserves the right to limit the maximum payout amount such that the payout on any Wager by one Patron does not exceed $1,000,000. This limit may be lowered by Mojo in Mojo’ sole discretion.
  3. Mojo reserves the right to limit the acceptance of additional Wagers on any Player on its platform, in its sole discretion.
  4. Mojo reserves the right to limit the maximum dollar amount of any single Wager, on any Player on its platform, in its sole discretion.
  5. Mojo reserves the right to limit the maximum dollar amount of any single Wager made by a Patron, in its sole discretion.
  6. Mojo reserves the right to limit the maximum dollar amount of outstanding Wagers that any one Patron can keep active, in its sole discretion.
  7. Mojo reserves the right to decline or void, in its sole discretion, all, or part of, any Wager requested.
  8. Mojo reserves the right to restrict or deny access, in whole or in part, to a Patron’s account, at Mojo’ own discretion.
  9. All Wagers placed through the Mojo Platform, including but not limited to Wagers requesting manual approval, may be subject to a time delay prior to acceptance, the length of which may vary. Such delay is to be determined by Mojo in its sole discretion.
  10. Mojo reserves the right to withhold payment and/or to declare Wagers void if Mojo determines, in its sole discretion, that any of the following has occurred:

    i. the integrity of an event in which a specific Player a Patron has Wagered on has participated, has been called into question;

    ii. the Share Price(s) of a Player or multiple Players has been manipulated;

    iii. A Player that a Patron has Wagered on participated in an event in which game-rigging has taken place, or the game is under investigation for such; or

    iv. Any other occurrence that, in the reasonable discretion of Mojo, would tend to show undue influence during an event in which a Player a Patron has Wagered on participated in.

    Evidence of the above may be based on the size, volume or pattern of Wagers placed with Mojo, as well as information received from other online sports betting providers or officially recognized organizations.
  11. All Share Prices offered are subject to variation. Share Prices are determined by Mojo in its sole discretion. To help protect Patrons from price volatility, Mojo will always honor the most recent Player Share Price shown to a Patron on its Platform when the Patron is attempting to make a Wager, except in situations when a Player’s Share Price has changed by 5% or more in either direction.  In such instances, Patrons will be asked to re-confirm the Wager at the new Share Price prior to submission of the Wager. By way of example, if a Patron attempts to make a Wager on a Player at $10 by clicking “Trade,” and prior to submitting the Wager and confirming the trade, the Player’s Share Price has now gone to $10.25, the Patron will still be able to execute the Wager at the original $10 Share Price shown to them. In contrast, if that Player’s Share Price had gone to $10.51 (representing a change of over 5%), the Patron would be asked to re-confirm the Wager at the new Share Price of $10.51.

CANCELLATION (VOIDING) OF WAGERS

We reserve the right to withhold payment or void any Wager(s) if we have any reasonable suspicion and/or evidence that the prices or the pool have been manipulated or where an event has been rigged, and this reasonable suspicion and/or evidence has caused us to report the match to the proper regulatory authorities. Evidence of the above may be based on the size, volume or pattern of Wagers placed with Mojo. Specifically, Mojo reserves the right, at its discretion (and after receiving approval from the appropriate governing body), to declare a Wager void, totally or partly, irrespective if the Wager is settled, if it is obvious that any of the following circumstances have occurred:

  1. Wagers have been offered, placed and/or accepted due to an Error;
  2. Wagers were placed while the website or app was encountering technical problems, that would otherwise not have been accepted;
  3. Influence Wagering;
  4. A result has been affected by illegal activity- directly or indirectly;
  5. When a Patron places multiple copies of the same Wager or places a number of Wagers that contain the same single selection. When this occurs, all Wagers may be voided apart from the first Wager struck. An example would be where one particular selection is repeatedly included in multiple Wagers involving other short-priced selections.
  6. Where there is evidence of a series of Wagers each containing the same (or very similar) selection(s) having been placed by the same individual or syndicate of individuals;
  7. Mojo reserves the right to void any Wager that may have been accepted when the account did not have sufficient funds to cover the Wager or during the period between when an account is funded and when a Patron’s bank clears the funds being deposited. If an account has insufficient funds, for any reason at all (including as a result of a deposit that has been canceled by the payment processing party), Mojo reserves the right to void any Wager that may have been accepted retroactively;
  8. Wagering effected at incorrect Share Price due to delayed or failing “live” coverage;
  9. Wagering effected on odds which represented a different score than the actual score (i.e. odds resulting from a mistaken score).

DISCLAIMER AND PRIORITY
  1. We do all that we can to avoid Errors. However, we cannot accept responsibility for obvious Errors or omissions in respect of the announcing, publishing or marketing of Share Price or results that occur, despite our every effort to ensure total accuracy.
  2. Mojo reserves the right, at its own discretion, to adjust a payout credited to a Patron’s balance if it is obvious that the payout has been credited to the Account due to an Error.
  3. In order to adjust any inaccuracy in the Patron’s balance following amounts credited due to an error, Mojo reserves the right to take any necessary action, without prior notice and within reasonable limits, to adjust the Patron’s balance through the reversal, amendment or cancellation, of any subsequent transaction on the Patron’s account.
  4. If a Patron has a complaint regarding any Wager, please contact us directly at [EMAIL] Patrons may also submit complaints regarding Wagers in New Jersey directly to the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement by filling out a NJ Division of Gaming Internet Dispute Form or contacting them at:

  5. Mojo reserves the right to suspend access to a Patron’s account while any complaints are being resolved.
  6. These Rules are applicable to all transactions with Mojo and may be supplemented at any time in Mojo’ sole discretion. In the event that any of these Rules conflict with the Terms, the Terms shall govern.
  7. In cases where it deems that these Rules are inconclusive, Mojo reserves the right, according to its own discretion, to settle offers on an individual basis on the basis of equity, attaining itself to generally accepted betting norms, customs, and definitions.
  8. Any data provided or accessible in, from or related to the Sportsbook may be used by the Patron for private, non-commercial use only and any use or attempted use of such data for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited.
  9. Mojo has the right to enforce any of these Rules against any Patron in Mojo’s sole and absolute discretion.

PROHIBITED SPORTS WAGERING PARTICIPANT
  1. In addition to how “Prohibited Person” is defined in the Terms of Use and in the Rules above, a Prohibited Person shall also include any of the following individuals:
  • An individual whose participation may undermine the integrity of the bet or the sports event or who is excluded from wagering for other good cause, including but not limited to, an attempt to place a Wager as an agent or a proxy
  1. If any Wagers are placed by any Prohibited Person, such Wagers shall be canceled and refunded.

METHODS OF FUNDING A PATRON ACCOUNT

Sports Wagers may be funded through multiple options, including, without limitation, Patron deposits and site/promotional credits. Deposits can be made through Debit Cards or ACH.

SPORTS GOVERNING BODIES

It is a condition of our acceptance of Wagers from you that, and by offering to place a Wager with us, you represent and acknowledge that:

  1. You are not prohibited from entering into the Wager by any term of your contract of employment or other professional contract or any rule of a Sports Governing Body, which applies to you;
  2. You are not aware of any circumstance which would make the placing of the Wager a breach of a rule on wagering applied by any Sports Governing Body.
  3. You do not know the outcome of an event or have not been involved in events which affected the potential outcome of an event, such that the outcome of an event has impacted a Player’s Share Price in any way;
  4. In the event of any such representation by you proving to be false, your stake will be forfeited and we shall not be obliged to pay any winnings which might otherwise have been payable in respect of the Wager;
  5. You acknowledge and accept that we will share information with sports governing bodies where there is suspicious wagering, or where we identify Wagers that have not been placed in accordance with our rules for sports governing bodies;
  6. You do not own 10% or more of any professional sports team;
  7. You are not on a self-exclusion list of any kind
  8. You are not a Prohibited Person (as defined above);
  9. You are not otherwise legally prohibited from making a Wager of any kind, either by law or as a result of an exercise of discretion of any gaming or casino operator.

DATA SUPPLIED BY A THIRD PARTY

Please be aware that data such as current scores, time elapsed etc. that is displayed on our site or on our text screens is sourced from a 'live feed' provided by a third party and may be subject to time delay and/or be inaccurate. If you rely on this data to place Wagers, you do so entirely at your own risk and Mojo accepts no responsibility for any loss (direct or indirect) suffered by you as a result of your reliance on it.

IN PLAY WAGER ACCEPTANCE

For the purposes of security and integrity, In Play Wagers (meaning Wagers on Players involved in Events that are currently in progress) are subject to an automated time delay prior to acceptance.

Prior to clicking "place Wager," if the Share Price changes on a selection, the Share Price will update automatically in a Patron’s Wager slip. After clicking place Wager, if there is a minor Share Price change resulting in a higher payout on a selection, the Wager will be accepted at the new Share Price. If the Share Price changes by more than 5%, the Wager will not be placed and it will be re-offered in the Wager slip at the new Share Price. A Wager will never be placed at worse odds if there is an adjustment to the Share Price. Share Price change thresholds are subject to review and change with regulatory approval.

The Mojo market may be suspended when something of significance occurs or is likely to occur (ex: goal, touchdown, ejection, etc.). Wagering markets may also be suspended due to the time elapsed in a match, the market becoming uncompetitive or for technical reasons. The above examples are not exhaustive and there may be other reasons that are not listed. While a market is suspended, Wagers cannot be placed and Cash Out may not be available. The market for a specific Player or Players may be suspended at any time, In Mojo’s sole discretion.

PARLAYS
  • A parlay bet consists of a number of legs. A leg is defined as one or more chosen selections in any individual event market.
  • Mojo reserves the right in its sole discretion not to accept certain parlay bets or to limit stakes.
  • All parlay bets placed are subject to the Sport-Specific Rules that apply to each individual sport that relates to any leg of any parlay bet.
  • If any selection in any leg is a non-runner or otherwise void under the House Rules (e.g. an abandoned match) then all bets on that individual leg will be void and the parlay bet shall be adjusted accordingly. For example a treble including one void leg will become a double, and a double parlay including a voided leg becomes a single bet, then this single bet will stand.

SPORTS-SPECIFIC RULES

A. Football – NFL and NCAA

1. Sport Rules

  • At least ten minutes of official time must elapse in the fourth quarter for bets to have action.
  • Overtime counts for all markets unless stated otherwise
  • Abandoned or postponed games are void unless played within the same scheduling week. In the event of a change of venue, all bets will be void. All bets on a game that is officially deemed a forfeit will be void.
  • All settlements are based on results and statistics provided by the relevant league’s governing body: www.nfl.com, www.cfl.ca, www.ncaa.com/stats/football.
  • We reserve the right to suspend any or all betting on a game at any time without notice.
  • Point Spread (Handicap) betting: In Point Spread (Handicap) & Total betting, where the index (value) of the market is a whole number, bets are void and will be refunded where the score lands on that number.
  • All Outright markets include playoffs where applicable.
  • For settlement purposes, the team listed second in the event name is always considered the Home Team. Example: Team A v Team B or Team A @ Team B - Team B is the Home Team.

2. College Football Specific Rules

  • For player prop markets, the player must play at least one snap for proposition bets to stand. Otherwise, bets on that player will be refunded. A “snap” is defined as any offensive, defensive or special teams play during a game. By way of example, if there is a wager being offered on a wide receiver to make a certain number of receptions, and that wide receiver plays a special teams snap and gets hurt before playing any snaps on offense, wagers on that player will still stand as he has played a snap in the game. On the contrary, if there is a wager being offered on a wide receiver to make a certain number of receptions, and that player is active but never actually enters the game to play a snap, wagers on that player will be refunded.
  • For touchdown scorer market, betting is all-in whether the player takes the field or not.
  • Markets that are revised at half time for the second half of that game include overtime.
  • In the event of a tie, all money line wagers will be refunded.

3. Overview of Specific Markets

Live Betting:

  • Prices quoted are for the whole game inclusive of any overtime played.
  • As the markets are in-running, we reserve the right to close the market at any time.
  • When scores are displayed in running, every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the score and game time; however, no liability is accepted for incorrect information displayed.

Proposition Bets:

  • In the event of an abandoned game, all stakes are returned, unless a result is already determined through the course of play that has taken place.
  • For player prop markets, only when a player does not play a snap in that game will the bets be refunded. All other bets will stand.
  • First Completion/Rush Attempt/Reception - If the specified player does not record a completion/rush/reception then bets on that market will be refunded.
  • Longest Completion/Rush/Reception - If the specified player does not record a completion/rush attempt/reception then the “under” selection will be deemed the winner for settlement purposes.

Futures/Season Prop Bets:

  • Bets will be settled based on official results provided by the league. For bets to stand, the number of games deemed to be officially resulted must equal the number of games scheduled when the season begins, unless the outcome has already been unequivocally determined. Any forfeited game that is considered an official result will count towards season long bets.
  • For season long player prop bets and player award bets, the nominated player must be involved in at least one snap during the regular season game for bets to have action.
  • For the purposes of regular season win total markets, games that result in ties are to be treated as losses.

NFL Draft:

  • The official draft list on nfl.com is used for settlement purposes.
  • For “over/under draft position” markets, undrafted players are assigned the draft position that comes after the last drafted player.
  • For over/under draft position markets under means the player is chosen with a pick that is less than the designated number and over would be after that designated number, for example a market of ‘Player A over/under draft position 3.5’, if Player A is picked with the second pick of the Draft than under bets would win and over bets lose.
  • EDGE is classified as defensive lineman for settlement purposes.
  • Notre Dame is classified as independent and not belonging to any conference for settlement purposes.

Quarter and half markets:

  • For bets based on the specific quarters or halves, the entire period of play must be played unless the result is already determined, except second half markets which do include overtime if played.
  • The fourth quarter does not include overtime.

Point Spread (Handicap) Betting:

  • A wager in which a bettor “takes” or “lays” a specified number of points. The team wagered must “cover” the point line for the wager to be deemed a winner.
  • Overtime counts for match handicap betting.
  • Overtime does not count on fourth quarter specific markets.
  • In the event of a tie, wagers will be refunded. Any event that has already been determined will be settled accordingly. For example, if a game finishes 28-28, total points will be settled at 56.
  • For quarter and half betting, the entire period must be played for bets to stand.

Match betting (Money line Wagers):

  • A wager in which the bettor “takes” or “lays” a specified price. The team wagered must win the game for the wager to be deemed a winner.
  • Overtime counts. In the event of a tie following overtime, all wagers are refunded. In the event of a preseason tie with no overtime being played, all wagers will be refunded.

Weekly/Daily player specials:

  • e.g. Weekly Specials, Redzone Specials, Live Parlays, First Touchdown Scorer across 1pm Games, Super Bowl Specials.
  • Player needs to play a snap in the game for bets to stand.
  • All Specials markets will be settled based on results from the league’s governing body.

Total points:

  • Overtime counts for all total match / team total and prop points markets.
  • Overtime does not count for total points on fourth quarter specific markets.
  • In the event of total points being exactly the nominated line, all stakes are refunded unless a price for the exact amount is quoted.
  • For quarter and half betting, the entire period must be played for bets to stand.

First offensive play yard line:

  • The result is determined by where the first offensive play from scrimmage takes place.
  • In the event of the kick off being returned for a touchdown, bets stand for the first offensive play following the subsequent kick off.
  • In the event of a turnover, the result is determined on where the first offensive play takes place with respect to the receiving team’s yard line.

Next Drive Result:

  • “Other” includes turnovers, defensive touchdowns and safeties.
  • If the clock runs out, the winning bet is “Other.”

First Play Attempt of Drive:

  • Settled based on results from the league’s governing body.
  • Bets will be refunded if there is neither a pass or rush attempt. Sacks are considered a rush attempt.

Ball Cross 50 Yard Line on Drive:

  • Settled based on results from the league’s governing body.
  • Punts and Field Goal Attempts do not count.

Player to Catch Pass:

  • Receptions as determined by the league’s governing body.
  • All bets action regardless of if the player takes the field during the drive.

Player to Record a Sack:

  • Settled based on results from the league’s governing body.
  • Half sacks count as “Yes”

Correct Score:

  • The final score of the game or specified period. Quarter and half markets are settled as per our standard settlement practices

First Penalty:

  • This is settled on the first accepted penalty in the game

First turnover and first team to commit a turnover:

  • For grading purposes, only an interception or a fumble counts.
  • A punt or 'turnover on downs' does not qualify as a turnover for settlement purposes.
  • In the event of an abandoned game, stakes are returned unless a turnover has already taken place.

First offensive play:

  • In the event of a false start penalty on the first offensive play, bets stand for the next offensive play that takes place without a false start penalty

First team/last team to score and touchdown scorer markets:

  • In the event of an abandoned game, bets stand on scores that have taken place already (and overtime counts for these markets).
  • Touchdown scorers are offered with the option of others on request. Markets are considered All-In.
  • Only when a player does not play a snap in that game will bets be refunded.
  • For touchdown scorer markets, the winning selection is the player who possesses the ball in the endzone. For example - on a pass TD play, the receiver in the endzone is graded as the winner, not the QB.
  • For settlement purposes, "Team Defense" selections do not include Special Teams.

Consecutive Completions through first “x” number of passes:

  • This wager wins when a Quarterback completes the consecutive number of passes designated by the bet without an incompletion or interception (or any result other than a completed pass). If a potential incomplete pass, interception or result other than a completion is nullified by a penalty call, that pass will not count for purposes of the wager (as it is not counted as a pass attempt in that player’s official stats), and the wager will still be considered action. By way of example, a bet for Daniel Jone to complete his first 8 passes would win if Jones starts a specified game 8 for 8, throwing eight straight completions without an incompletion, interception or any other result other than a completion. This is even the case if he goes 6 for 6 and on his 7th pass attempt, throws an interception on his 7th attempt but that interception is later nullified after review, and he then completes his 7th and 8th pass attempts.
  • Player to take a snap as quarterback for a specific team: This is an outcome probability bet on a named player to take a snap as quarterback for a specific team. By way of example, a bet can be offered in which there is an associated price for Andrew Luck to take the first snap for the New York Jets in Week 2 of the 2023-2024 NFL season.

B. Basketball – NBA and NCAA

1. Sport Rules:

  • Wager settlement is based solely on results and statistics provided by the relevant league's governing body (www.nba.com, www.ncaa.com) and their official data supplier.
  • For settlement purposes, the team listed second in the event name is considered the Home Team, even if the game takes place at a neutral venue. Example: “Team A v Team B” or “Team A @ Team B” - Team B is the Home Team.
  • Should play be suspended in any NBA game and subsequently not fully completed (48 minutes played) within 24 hours of the original scheduled start time, all wagers will be void unless the outcome of a specific market/selection has already been pre-determined.
  • Should play be suspended in any Men’s or Women’s NCAA game and subsequently not fully completed (40 minutes played) within 24 hours of the original scheduled start time, all wagers will be void unless the outcome of a specific market/selection has already been pre-determined.
  • In the event that a game does not begin on the scheduled start date and is postponed (using time-zone of the original scheduled venue), all wagers will be void.
  • Should a game’s scheduled venue be changed, all wagers placed prior to the notification of the change will be void.
  • The void rule applies for all markets where a draw/tie price is not offered.
  • Overtime counts for all markets unless otherwise stated.
  • All outright markets, unless otherwise stated, include playoffs. Any official governing organization tie-breaks where applicable are included in settlement.
  • Where a season or tournament is unexpectedly shortened all futures markets/bets will be settled in accordance with the official ruling of the relevant governing body so long as the ruling is made within 90 days after the scheduled completion date; or unless the outcome has unequivocally been determined prior to the interruption of the season.

  • Home team/Away team total points: Resulted on score at the end of the game, inclusive of overtime.
  • ‘Race To x’ Markets: Resulted on the team to achieve the specified total in the specified period first. A ‘neither’ selection is offered.

  • Last point market: is settled on last point in regulation time.
  • Margin Markets: Resulted on final score, inclusive of overtime.
  • Tri-Bet Markets: Resulted on final score, inclusive of overtime.
  • Regular Season Wins (NBA): For wagers to be actionable, teams must complete 80 scheduled regular season games. Should a team not complete the required number of games, all wagers on regular season win markets will be void, unless the result is already pre-determined, prior to an interruption or shortening of the season.
  • Regular Season Wins (NCAA): A team must play at least 90% of originally scheduled games for bets to stand, unless the outcome has previously been unequivocally determined. Pre-season, exhibition, and post-season games (including conference and post-season tournaments) do not count towards a team's regular season win total.
  • Conference Regular Season Winner (NCAA): If an unquoted selection wins, all bets will be void. If multiple teams are deemed co-regular season champions, bets will be settled based on the team who is awarded the top conference seed.
  • Conference Regular Season Exact Finishing Order (NCAA): If teams are tied in the regular season standings, bets will be settled based on conference tournament seeding.
  • Team Match Bets: Resulted on team with the most season wins or which has advanced furthest for tournament/playoff team match bets.

  • Team to Go Undefeated (NCAA): Unless otherwise stated, this refers to the entire regular season and all post-season play.
  • Team Seeding (NCAA): For over/under markets on team seeding, under refers to a seed that is less than the designated number and over refers to a seed greater than that designated number. For example, for a market of “Team A’s tournament seed over/under 3.5”, if Team A receives a 2 seed, then under bets would win and over bets lose.
  • Team to Make the NCAA Tournament: Teams must be included in the final 64-team field to be deemed winners. For settlement purposes, participation in the First Four play-in games is not considered qualification for the tournament.
  • Total Wins for a Team in the NCAA Tournament: Teams must be included in the final 64-team field to be deemed winners. Any win in a play-in game is not counted towards Total Wins for a Team for the NCAA tournament.
  • In the NCAA Tournament, where it is known that a team will be playing against another NJ school team, no new wagers will be offered on that team, or on any player from that team, for that individual game. Further, no cumulative-style Wagers will be offered for that team or its players for the entire tournament.

    1. However, if at the outset of the NCAA Tournament it is not yet known if a team will play against an NJ school team, cumulative-style Wagers (such as total Tournament Wins for a team, and total Tournament individual player props, such as points, rebounds and assists) will be allowed for such teams and players prior to those teams and players playing the NJ school team, with the following caveats:

    • The team that plays the NJ school team will automatically be credited with a win for purposes of cumulative-style Wagers (such as Total Team wins in the NCAA Tournament, or Teams Reaching the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament), regardless of the result of that game;

    • A non-NJ school individual player’s statistics achieved during a game against a NJ school, will still have their statistics count towards a cumulative-style individual player prop Wager (such as Total Points in the NCAA Tournament).
  • Wire to Wire: These markets are offered for a given team to be leading a game at the end of each quarter of that game. Provided the selected team leads at the end of each quarter, the relevant bet will be successful even if, during any such quarter, the selected team temporarily ceases to lead the scoring. ‘Any Other Selection’ will be deemed the winner if either team does not lead the game after each quarter.
  • To Make/Miss the Playoffs (NBA): Settled on the teams that make the final top 8 in each Conference, after the conclusion of any play-in games or tiebreakers. If the number of teams that make the postseason changes during the season, bets will be void.
  • To Make the Play-In Tournament (NBA): Settled on the teams that have the 7th through 10th highest winning percentages in each conference and take part in the NBA’s official Play-In Tournament. Should the playoff format be changed during the season, all bets will be void
  • Most Regular Season Wins/Losses (NBA): For wagers to be action, all teams must complete 80 scheduled regular season games. Should a team not compete the required number of games, all wagers on regular season win markets will be void. In the case two or more teams tie, dead heat rules apply.
  • Draft Props: The official NBA Draft website will be used for settlement purposes (a player’s position, school, height etc)
  • Draft Position: For over/under type markets, if a player is undrafted, the “Over” will be deemed the winner
  • Number X Overall Pick: Bets will be settled according to the official draft position as the pick is made, irrespective of any trades made following the announcement of the pick
  • 2 or More 3 Point FGs Made in the First 3 Minutes (“3x2”): All markers referring to a set time period (such as “First 3 minutes”) will be settled according to the official nba.com/ncaa.com play-by-play data to determine the timing of any relevant events or recorded statistics

3. Player Props – NBA and NCAA

  • First Basket Markets: Resulted on the first score of the game, inclusive of free throws, as per official NBA/NCAA box score. In the event of a tie at the end of the first quarter, First Basket / First Quarter Double bets are resulted as a loss.
  • The First Team Basket: Scorer will be resulted on the first scorer from each team; Should a player listed not start the game, all bets on the player selected will be void (otherwise betting is all-in).
  • Player Performance Markets: All bets stand once a player takes the court, irrespective of game time played. All totals are inclusive of overtime. Should a player not take any part, all bets will be void.
  • Player Performance Markets offered in-play/during half time: Bets on this market refer to the quoted statistic recorded by a named player for the whole game (including overtime). If a player doesn’t see any game time, then all bets on that player will be void.
  • Player Match Bets: Bets on this market refer to the quoted statistic recorded by a named player by the end of a match (including overtime). If one of the players doesn’t see any game time, then all bets on that market will be void.
  • Method of First Basket: All Rules relating to “First Basket Markets” apply. The market will be settled according to the official nba.com/ncaa.com play by play description.
  • Game Props: Player most points/rebounds/assists/etc: Bets placed on this market will be settled on the player who makes the most of the relevant quoted statistic. In case two or more players tie, dead heat rules apply. Should a player listed not take part in the game, all bets on the player selected will be void. Otherwise, all bets are action. Bets are All-In, meaning should a player not listed in the market make the most of the relevant quoted statistic, then all bets shall be settled as a loss.
  • Daily Props: Player most points/rebounds/assists/etc: Bets placed on this market will be settled on the player who makes the most of the relevant quoted statistic. In case two or more players tie, dead heat rules apply. All games scheduled for that date must be completed for bets to stand. Should a player listed not take part in the game, all bets on the player selected will be void otherwise all bets are action. Bets will be settled on the basis of listed players only.
  • Daily Team Props: Highest/Lowest Scoring Team or Game: All games scheduled for that date must be completed for bets to stand. In case two or more teams tie, dead heat rules apply.
  • Playoff Series Props: Player most points/rebounds/assists/etc, player match bets and player props: A series must come to a natural conclusion for bets to stand. Overtime counts for settlement purposes. In case two or more players tie, dead heat rules apply. A Player listed must take part in at least one game in the series for bets to be action. If a player does not take the court during at least one game, all bets on the player selected will be void (and in the case of a 2-player matchbet, all bets on the market will be void)
  • Regular Season Props (NBA): Player most points/rebounds/assists/etc or highest points/rebounds/assists/etc average: Bets placed on this market will be settled on the player who makes the most of the relevant quoted statistic at the end of the competition excluding playoffs, unless otherwise stated. In case two or more players tie, dead heat rules apply. For NBA regular season league leaders, a player must play 70% of their team’s games (58 in 82-game season) as per NBA rules to win. Bets are All-In.
  • Total Points (or rebounds, assists, or other statistic for an individual Player) for an Individual Player in the NCAA Tournament: Players must be on a team included in the final 64-team field to be deemed winners. Any points scored in a play-in game is not counted towards Total Wins for a Team for the NCAA tournament.

C. Baseball

1. Baseball Definitions

  • “4.5 Innings Rule” - For certain bets to have action, the game must go at least 5 full innings (4.5 innings if the home team is ahead). If a game is called/suspended after this point, and not rescheduled the winner is determined as per MLB rules (i.e. in the same manner MLB would determine the winner of the game). More on this below.
  • “6.5 Innings Rule” - For bets on games that are scheduled for 7 innings of play (instead of the normal 9 innings—see “Scheduled 7-inning Games" below) all rules that would normally require 9 innings of play (8½ if the home team is winning) will instead require only 7 innings of play for action (6½ if the home team is winning). While Bets on markets that are unequivocally determined will stand (example: bets on 1st inning total runs scored will remain settled as determined if the game gets called in the 3rd inning), all other markets (including but not limited to Run Line and Total Runs) will be settled according to the 6.5 Innings Rule (void if not already unequivocally determined, unless a minimum of 7 innings are played, or 6.5 innings should the home team be leading at the commencement of the bottom of the 7th inning).
  • “8.5 Innings Rule” – For certain bets to have action, a game must go at least 9 full innings (8.5 innings if the home team is ahead), unless the result is already determined, and the game is official. More on this below.
  • “40-man Roster” –includes Players on an MLB team’s 40-man roster, as well as Players that appear on MLB’s Restricted List, Suspended List, 60-day Injured List, Military List, or any other list in which MLB deems an active or inactive Player to be part of a team’s 40-man roster while on such lists.
  • Statistics:
    – “AB” refers to At Bat
    – “H” refers to Hit
    – “BB” refers to Base on Balls
    – “TB” refers to Total Bases
    – “SB” refers to Stolen Bases
    – “CS” refers to Caught Stealing
    – “HBP” refers to Hit by Pitch
    – “GIDP” refers to Grounded into Double Play
    – “SO” refers to Strikeout
    – “IP” refers to Inning Pitched
    – “ERA” refers to Earned Run Average
    – “S” refers to Save
    – “HR” refers to Homerun

2. General Rules

  • These rules apply to Major League, all levels of Minor League, NCAA and World Baseball. World Baseball is defined as a league which is governed outside of the United States.
  • All wagers are graded based on the official results published by the relevant league’s governing body (e.g. Major League Baseball).
  • All team related wagers are on action.
  • In the event of a game not starting on the officially scheduled day, as published by the governing body, due to a rain delay or other deferral, all wagers shall be void. The day of the event is defined as the day according to the time zone in which the event was scheduled to begin. If a game that has started is suspended, due to a rain delay or other deferral, and resumes within 36 hours of the originally scheduled start time (local time), then all wagers will stand. If a game that has started is suspended, and resumes more than 36 hours after the originally scheduled start time, all existing wagers will be void unless they have been unequivocally determined prior to the game’s suspension. If a game is terminated before becoming official, and is not scheduled to resume from where it was halted, all bets will be void, unless the wager was already determined (e.g. if a game is terminated in 3rd inning, settlement of the 1st inning over/under stands).

    Ex: A game is scheduled to be played on Saturday evening. Here are how settlement rules would be impacted by different types of deferrals:
  • The game is postponed prior to first pitch and is rescheduled to begin at a future date. Since the game had not yet started, all wagers on the game will be void, regardless of when the game is rescheduled to be played
  • In the event that a game is halted but scheduled to be completed the following day, all wagers will stand as the event is due to resume within 36 hours of the original start time.
  • In the event that a game is halted and scheduled to resume more than 36 hours after the original scheduled start time, all wagers shall be void unless they had unequivocally been determined prior to the game’s suspension.
  • In the event of a shortened game, results are official after (and, unless otherwise stated, bets shall be settled subject to the completion of) 5 innings of play, or 4.5 innings should the home team be leading at the commencement of the bottom of the 5th innings (the “4.5 Innings Rule”). Once the visiting team has made 15 outs, should a game be called early and the home team is leading, the results of the game will be determined by the score at the time the game is called. Should a game be called early while it is tied or amid an inning in which the visiting team has taken the lead, the game becomes a “suspended game” and is handled according to the aforementioned rules surrounding suspended games.
  • Notwithstanding the above, in certain circumstances where we so specify, results will only be official after (and bets shall be settled subject to the completion of) a minimum of 9 innings’ play, or 8.5 innings should the home team be leading at the commencement of the bottom of the 9th innings (the “8.5 Innings Rule”). More on this below.
  • For the purposes of live betting, should a game be shortened due to bad weather or similar, live betting markets will stand and Cash Outs made prior to a game being called for weather or similar will be honored (irrespective of whether or not an official league result has been confirmed).
  • Extra innings, where applicable, count for settlement purposes.
  • In the case of a suspended playoff/post-season game, all bets will stand until the game is completed within 90 days of suspension
  • Should a mercy rule be applied, for settlement purposes, markets (for both pre-match and live betting) will be settled according to the result as determined by the application of the mercy rule.
  • Scheduled 7-Inning Games: For baseball games scheduled to be 7 innings, normal baseball rules will apply with all markets settled as per the official result published by the relevant league’s governing body and in accordance with the below listed rules:
  • Money Line bets will be settled as per the “4.5 Innings Rule”;
  • Bets on markets that are unequivocally determined will stand (example: bets on 1st inning total runs scored will remain settled as determined if the game gets called in the 3rd inning);
  • All other markets (including but not limited to Run Line and Total Runs) will be void if not already unequivocally determined, unless a minimum of 7 innings are played, or 6.5 innings should the home team be leading at the commencement of the bottom of the 7th inning.
  • The above listed rules will govern settlement of all scheduled 7 inning games, including any that are shortened after first pitch.

3. Player Props

  • Player Props: On any game-long player prop (i.e. strikeouts in a game, hits in a game), that player must start the game. Some exceptions (below) apply to this.

    Total bases single=1 base, a double=2 bases, a triple=3 bases, a HR=4 bases. A walk, stolen base, hit by a pitch, error, balk, fielder’ s choice or passed ball do not count. All player props are considered to have action after a full 9 innings of play (8.5 if the home team is winning) unless otherwise stated; the only exception to this being pitcher props. In order for bets on this market (pitcher props) to have action, the game must complete the first 5 innings (4½ if the home team is winning). Pitcher must start for action - if the pitcher starts and throws at least one pitch, bets on that pitcher will have action, even if the pitcher is then removed from the game at any point for any reason.

For all MLB player markets, wagers will be void as per below (unless explicitly stated in
market specific rules):

  • Pitcher Markets: If a wager is made on a listed pitcher and that pitcher does NOT start the game.
  • Batter Markets (Hits, Runs, etc.): if the listed player does NOT record a plate appearance.
  • To Hit a Home Run & Home Run / Game Winner Parlay: Listed players must record at least 1 plate appearance for bets to stand (failing which, in each case, bets on this market will be voided). Listed pitchers have no bearing on this market.
  • Result of Plate Appearance: Listed players must record at least one plate appearance for bets to stand (failing which, in each case, bets on this market will be voided). In the event that a player is substituted out of the game between plate appearances, bets on plate appearances that have already occurred will stand. However, bets on future plate appearance markets will be voided. For settlement purposes, a fielder’s choice, catcher’s interference and hit by pitch (HBP) will all be ruled as an “other outcome.”
  • To Hit First Home Run: Listed position players must record at least one plate appearance for bets to stand (failing which, in each case, bets on this market will be voided). If a non-listed player is ruled the winner, bets on listed qualified players are action. All bets will be voided if no Home Runs are hit in the game.
  • To Hit Next Home Run: Listed position players must record at least one plate appearance for bets to stand (failing which, in each case, bets on this market will be voided). Once a player has recorded a plate appearance, wagers made on that player for all subsequent indices (Player to Hit 3rd Home Run, 4th Home Run, etc.) will stand regardless of the number of plate appearances that player ultimately records in the game. In the event there is no “Next Home Run,” all bets placed on that index will be void. Example: Wagers placed on “Player to hit 4th Home Run” market will be void in a game where only 3 Home Runs are hit.
  • Player to Record a Hit Markets: Listed players must record at least one plate appearance for bets to stand (failing which, in each case, bets on this market will be voided). Once a player has recorded a plate appearance, bets on all subsequent hits markets (2+ hits, 3+ hits, etc.) will stand regardless of the number of plate appearances that player ultimately records in the game.
  • To Record Total Bases: Total Bases are recorded through hits. They do not include walks, HBPs, reach on errors, or fielder's choices.
  • Player Total Strikeouts: Listed Pitcher must start for bet to stand. If opposing Listed Pitcher does not start, then bets will still stand.
  • Player Performance Parlays: For pitchers, the listed pitcher must start for bets to stand. Bets will stand regardless of a change in status to the opposing listed pitcher. For batters, the listed player must record at least 1 plate appearance for bets to stand (failing which, in each case, bets on this market will be voided). A change to the status of either listed pitcher will have no bearing on the settlement of any batter-specific player parlay.
  • Result of First Pitch: Settled based on the first pitch thrown in the listed half inning. A change to the status of either listed pitcher, or to either line-up, will have no bearing on the settlement of this market. For settlement purposes, a reach on error, catcher’s interference, or a foul ball that results in an out will be ruled as an “other outcome.” Batted balls that result in the plate appearance ending (ex. hits/outs) will not be regarded as strikes for the purposes of settlement.
  • Method of First Hit: Settled based on the method by which the first hit of the game (for either team) occurs. A change to the status of either listed pitcher will have no bearing on the settlement of this market. Listed batters must be included in the starting line-up for bets to stand (failing which, in each case, bets will be voided).

4. Futures Markets + Other Specials

  • Regular Season Win Totals: A team must play at least 98% of games originally scheduled (as of Opening Day of the regular season) for bets to stand, unless the outcome has previously been unequivocally determined. For example, in a shortened 60 game season, at least 59 games must be played for bets to stand (unless previously unequivocally determined). In a 162 game season, 159 games must be played for bets to stand (unless previously unequivocally determined).
  • Regular Season Specials: All other regular season specials, unless otherwise stated, will be settled should teams play at least 50% of regular season games originally scheduled (as of Opening Day of the regular season). Dead-heat rules apply if multiple players tie for the league lead. In the event that less than 50% of regular season games are played (as scheduled on Opening Day of the regular season), all regular season specials bets (unless otherwise stated) will be void regardless of if they have been determined or not. Where a specified player is listed under a market pertaining to a certain league/team, he will be deemed a player in that league/team for the purpose of the result regardless of any inter-league/team trade which may occur.
  • Daily Strikeout Specials: For head-to-head strikeout matchups, both listed pitchers must start the game for bets on the matchup to stand. If the two listed pitchers record the same number of strikeouts, bets on the matchup will be voided. For daily specials about which listed pitcher will record the most strikeouts on a given day, bets on any listed pitcher that does not start will be voided, and dead-heat rules will apply if multiple starting pitchers tie for the daily lead.
  • Regular Season Series Winner: Games must be played within the originally scheduled series dates to be counted towards series settlement. Series bets will be void if affected by postponed/rescheduled games that take place after the originally scheduled series end date unless the outcome has been unequivocally determined prior to the interruption of the series. For series’ scheduled to be an even number of games (e.g. a four game series), either two-way betting or three-way betting (with “Series Tied” as a third possible selection) may be available. If two-way betting is available, bets on that market will be void if the teams split the series. If three-way betting is available, bets on the “Series Tied” option will be ruled as winners if the teams split the series.
  • Playoff Series Specials: Dead-heat rules apply if multiple players tie for lead. Applies to outright markets such as “Player to Record Most Hits”, “Player to Record Most Home Runs” etc.
  • Live Specials: No-Hit and Perfect Game Specials: An official pitcher-specific no-hit game (“Pitcher-Specific No-Hit Game”) occurs when a specific pitcher allows no hits during the entire course of a game, which consists of at least nine innings (minimum 27 outs) thrown by the pitcher, or if an away pitcher is losing the game going into the ninth inning, eight innings pitched and 24 outs (assuming the away pitcher is losing as a result of runs scored on anything but a hit – i.e. an error, a base on balls, etc.) An official team no-hit game (“Team No-Hit Game”) occurs when a pitcher (or pitchers) for a specific team allows no hits during the entire course of a game, which consists of at least nine innings (minimum 27 outs) thrown by the pitcher(s), or if an away pitcher is losing the game going into the ninth inning, eight innings pitched and 24 outs. For a pitcher-specific perfect game, the pitcher must comply with all requirements of the Pitcher-Specific No-Hit Game, but also not allow any baserunners to reach via walk, HBP, uncaught third strikes, catcher’s or fielder’s interference, or fielding errors (“Pitcher-Specific Perfect Game”). For a team perfect game, the pitcher(s) for the specific team must comply with all requirements of the Team No-Hit Game, but also not allow any baserunners to reach via walk, HBP, uncaught third strikes, catcher’s or fielder’s interference, or fielding errors (“Team Perfect Game”). Team No-Hit Games and Team Perfect Games will be settled regardless of the number of pitchers used by the relevant team.

Live specials:

  • No-Hit through three innings (Pitcher-Specific or Team): This wager wins when the criteria for either Pitcher-Specific or Team No-Hit Game (described above) are met with the exception being that rather than requiring a minimum of 27 outs through nine innings for the No-Hit Game wager, this wager requires a minimum of only 9 outs.
  • No-Hit through six innings (Pitcher-Specific or Team): This occurs when the criteria for either Pitcher-Specific or Team No-Hit Game (described above) are met with the exception being that rather than requiring a minimum of 27 outs through nine innings for the No-Hit Game wager, this wager requires a minimum of only 18 outs.
  • Perfect through three innings (Pitcher-Specific or Team): This wager wins when the criteria for either Pitcher-Specific or Team Perfect Game (described above) are met with the exception being that rather than requiring a minimum of 27 outs through nine innings for the Pitcher or Team Perfect Game wager to hit, this wager requires a minimum of only 9 outs.
  • Perfect through six innings (Pitcher-Specific or Team): This wager wins when the criteria for either Pitcher-Specific or Team Perfect Game (described above) are met with the exception being that rather than requiring a minimum of 27 outs through nine innings for the Pitcher or Team Perfect Game wager to hit, this wager requires a minimum of only 18 outs.
  • Live Specials: For live pitcher specials, all bets will stand if the listed pitcher starts the game. For live batter specials, all bets will stand if the listed player records at least one plate appearance in the game.
  • An official no-hit game occurs when a pitcher (or pitchers) allows no hits during the entire course of a game, which consists of at least nine innings (minimum 27 outs) thrown by the pitcher(s), or if an away pitcher is losing the game going into the ninth inning, eight innings pitched and 24 outs (assuming the away pitcher is losing as a result of runs scored on anything but a hit – i.e. an error, a base on balls, etc.) For a perfect game, the pitcher(s) must comply with all requirements of the no-hitter, but also not allow any baserunners to reach via walk, HBP, uncaught third strikes, catcher’s or fielder’s interference, or fielding errors. No-hitters and perfect games will be settled regardless of the number of pitchers used by the relevant team. For live pitcher specials, all bets will stand if the listed pitcher starts the game. For live batter specials, all bets will stand if the listed player records at least one plate appearance in the game.
  • World Series, League and Division Winners markets will all be settled in accordance with the official MLB ruling regardless of season length.
  • All outright markets include playoffs where applicable.

Home Run Derby:

  • All wagers are graded based on the official results published by mlb.com.
  • Wagers relating to home run distances will be resulted according to the figures provided by MLB’s Statcast.
  • Player Match Bets: If two contestants are eliminated in the same stage of the competition, bets on which player will advance further will be void.

MLB Draft:

  • The official draft results on mlb.com will be used for settlement purposes.

5. Overview of Specific Major League Baseball Markets

  • Please note that all below rulings are specific to MLB games scheduled to be 9 innings in length. For rules relating to games scheduled to be 7 innings in length, please reference the section above entitled, “General Rules.”
  • Money Line: Money Line markets will be settled as per the 4.5 Innings Rule.
  • Run Line Markets: Settled as per the 8.5 Innings Rule.
  • Total Runs Markets: Settled as per the 8.5 Innings Rule except for when a result has already been unequivocally determined.
  • Double Result: Settled based on the score at the end of the 5th inning plus the final score as per the 8.5 Innings rule.
  • Tri-Bet Markets: Settled as per the 8.5 Innings Rule.
  • Odd/Even Markets: Settled as per the 8.5 Innings Rule. In the event a result of zero is arrived at, that shall be considered an even number for settlement purposes.
  • Winning Margin Markets: Settled as per the 8.5 Innings Rule.
  • Team to Score First Markets: Settled on the first run of the game (irrespective of whether or not a full game, or a certain number of innings, have been completed). When packaged in a parlay, the 8.5 Innings Rule applies. Includes extra innings.
  • Team to Score Last Markets: Settled as per the 8.5 Innings Rule. Includes extra innings.
  • Highest Scoring Half of Game: Inclusive of extra innings, settled as per the 8.5 Innings Rule. For the purposes of this rule, the first “half” of a game shall be deemed to be the first 5 innings and the second “half” shall be deemed to be all other innings which take place during the game (including additional innings). For example, if 11 innings are played, the first “half” of the game shall be deemed to be the first 5 innings and the second “half” of the game shall be deemed to be the last 6 innings.
  • Highest Scoring Inning: Settled as per the 8.5 Innings Rule. Dead heat rules apply in the event of a tie. Should the highest scoring inning occur in extra innings, innings 1-9 will be considered losers.
  • Inning of First / Last Score: Settled as per the 8.5 Innings Rule (unless, in the case of the first score, the result has already been unequivocally determined). Should the first or last score occur in an extra inning, innings 1-9 will be considered losers.
  • Inning / Half Inning Markets: The relevant inning or half inning of the game must be fully completed for bets to stand (unless, in the case of a total runs market, the result has already been unequivocally determined).
  • No Runs First Inning: Bets will stand regardless of whether or not a full game, or a certain number of innings, have been completed. Only the half inning pertaining to either away or home team must be completed for bets on either team to stand. Bets will settle once the half inning pertaining to the team being wagered on is completed.
  • Innings Correct Score: Settled based only on runs scored in that specific inning. For example, if entering the 5th Inning, “Team A” leads “Team B” 3-2 and both teams fail to score a run in the 5th inning, “0-0” would be correctly settled as the winning selection.
  • 3 / 5 / 7 Inning Markets: The specified number of innings must be completed for bets to stand (unless the home team holds the lead and the bottom of the inning would not change the result for team specific markets).
  • 1st Half Markets: Settled following the completion of 5 Innings. The 4.5 Innings Rule applies for shortened games where the results of markets have already been fully determined. If a game has extra innings, 1st Half Markets will be settled off the 1st 5 innings result.
  • Lead After / Race To Markets: Settled based on the score at the end of the specified period or once the required number of runs have been scored (as applicable).
  • Team Most Hits Markets: Settled as per the 8.5 Innings Rule. In the case of specific Inning / half Inning markets, the stated period must have been completed for bets to stand unless the result has already been unequivocally determined. 2+ Hits in the First Inning: “Yes” will be settled as the winning selection should the two teams combine to record 2 or more hits in the first inning of play.
  • For settlement purposes, the team listed second in the event name is considered to be the home team (even if the game takes place at a neutral venue). Example: “Team A v Team B” or “Team A at Team B”, Team B is the home team.
