FANTASY HOUSE RULES

Last Updated: August 04, 2023

Mojo DFS LLC (herein after referred to as “Mojo" or the “Company”) operates a website and application for mobile devices providing users (“Patrons”) a platform for fantasy contests. Mojo intends to leverage its management, intellectual positionerty, and industry knowledge to launch a variety of player-centric contests under the Mojo brand in legal jurisdictions.  Further:

  1. These Mojo House Rules (the “Rules”), as well as the Mojo DFS Terms of Use located at mojo.com/dfsterms (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Mojo platform (the “Platform”). When entering a contest on the Mojo Platform, the Patron agrees that the Patron has read, understands, and will adhere to these Rules, as well as the Terms at the time of contest entry.
  1. Mojo reserves the right to make changes to the site, contest types, payout structures and market offerings.
  1. Mojo reserves the right to suspend any and all Patrons, at any time without notice.
  1. Mojo may update, amend, edit, and supplement these Rules and the Terms at any time.
  1. Any reference in these Rules to words/objects that appear in singular also applies to plural. References to gender are non-binding and to be treated for information purposes only. Any references to “we,” “us” or “Mojo” refer to Mojo DFS LLC, the company that owns and operates the Platform.

DEFINITIONS

Patron” is a Patron that has opened an account on the Mojo site or application, and that has been validated and confirmed for the use of the Mojo Platform. In addition to Mojo’s internal confirmation process, this validation process also utilizes third party service providers to confirm a Patron’s identity and bank account details (please see the Terms for more information on how your personal data is used and stored).

Contest” means a game of skill in which a Patron competes with other Patrons, making a series of at least four Trades on Players that are playing a game or series of games during a specified timeframe. Patrons can use their sports knowledge to make Trades on the short-term performance of a Player, moving in and out of Player positions as desired, in an attempt to maximize overall Contest portfolio value (see “Portfolio” defined below). Patrons will attempt to grow their Portfolios over the specified timeframes as much as possible. The relative performance of the Patrons in a Contest will determine the winners of that Contest.

Trade” is the action a Patron makes on the Mojo platform to take a position on a Player (defined below).

Portfolio” means a Patron’s total amount of Mojo Bucks available during a Contest. Patrons will compete with other Patrons in an attempt to maximize their Portfolio value during a Contest timeframe. The relative performance (as measured by Portfolio value at the point a Contest ends) of the Patrons in a Contest will determine the winners of that Contest.

Player” refers to a professional NFL athlete that has an “Active Roster” designation and appears on the Mojo Platform (more on “Active Roster” below under “When Are Trades Settled”), a professional NBA athlete that is on an Active Roster, a professional MLB athlete that is on a 40-man roster of an MLB team (as defined below) or a Minor League Baseball athlete.

Share Price” is Mojo’s prediction of the Player’s achievement of a particular statistic over a specific timeframe (i.e. an NBA Player’s points or rebounds in a game, for example). This is the price that appears on the Mojo Platform for 1 (one) “Share” of a given Player for that specific statistic, and represents the percentage likelihood of the Player achieving that statistic.

Settlement” refers to the closing of a Trade position, either because any of the Automatic Settlement criteria (see below) have been met, a Patron chooses to Cash Out of a Trade, or due to a violation of these House Rules and/or the Terms and Conditions of Use.

Active Roster” is a Player status that will be determined via a third party. Being on an active roster includes being on a roster with any of the following designations for the NFL: Active; Exempt; On the Injured Reserve list; On the Injured Reserve – Designated to Return list; Non-Football related Injury Reserve list; On a Practice squad; Physically Unable to Perform list, or; Suspended. Except in rare situations, Players who are under contract with an NFL team will have one of these designations. For an NBA Player, this will mean being on an NBA roster. For a MLB Player, this will mean being on the 40-man roster of a professional MLB team. On the Mojo platform, the 40-man roster will include Players that appear on the official 40-man roster list for each MLB team, MLB’s Restricted List, Suspended List, 60-day Injured List, Military List, or any other list in which MLB deems an active or inactive Player to be part of a team’s 40-man roster while on such lists (40-man roster, in addition to the aforementioned lists, will collectively be known as the “40-man Roster”).

Cash Out” is a special feature on the Mojo Platform which allows a Patron to Trade out of a certain position on a Player at any time (subject to some restrictions), if that Patron so chooses, during Mojo’s market hours. This provides the Patron with instant contest liquidity in on their Trades in the form of “Mojo Bucks,” such that they can use their “Mojo Bucks” to make more Trades during a Contest.

Prohibited Person” is a Patron that falls into any of the following categories:

  • Persons under the age of 18;
  • Persons on any exclusion list, including self-exclusion lists;
  • Any person making a Trade on the account of or for any other person;
  • Any person who is an athlete, coach, referee, direct or indirect owner of 10% or greater, or director of a sports governing body or any of its members teams, a Player or a referee personnel member, in or on any sports event overseen by that person's sports governing body, a person who holds a position of authority or influence sufficient to exert influence over the participants in a sporting contest, including, but not limited to, coaches, managers, handlers, athletic trainers, a person with access to certain types of exclusive information on any sports event overseen by that person's sports governing body, or a person identified by any lists provided by the sports governing body, may not place a Trade on a sports event that is overseen by that person's sports governing body.

Error” is a mistake, misprint, misinterpretation, mishearing, misreading, mistranslation, spelling mistake, technical hazard, registration error, transaction error, manifest error, force majeure and/or similar. A non–exhaustive list of “obvious errors” is as follows:

  • the prices/terms offered at the time the Trade is placed are clearly incorrect;
  • odds or terms of a Trade have been misquoted as a result of human or system error;
  • where an error is made by us as to the amount of winnings/returns that are paid to you, including as a result of a manual or computer input error.

HOW IT WORKS - OVERVIEW

Mojo offers a Contest in which a Patron must make a series of at least four Trades on Players that are playing a game or series of games during a specified timeframe. Patrons can use their sports knowledge to make Trades on the short-term performance of a Player. Patrons will attempt to grow their Portfolios over the specified timeframes as much as possible. The relative performance of the Patrons in a Contest will determine the winners of that Contest. More on this below.

Contests are comprised of Outcome Probability Positions on a Player. These are positions that provide Patrons with the probability of a specific outcome, over a specific timeframe (“Timeframe”), on a scale of 0 to 1 (representing the percentage likelihood of a specified outcome; i.e 0.60 represents a 60% likelihood of a specified result). This probability number is the price that the Patron would have to pay (using Mojo Bucks) to Trade on the represented outcome. A Patron will also be able to purchase multiple “Shares” of that position, as will be described in further detail below. When the Timeframe ends, each of these Trades will either settle at $1 or $0, depending on the actual outcome of the underlying event or statistic that the Trade is based on.

HOW DO I INCREASE MY PORTFOLIO VALUE?

If the Mojo app offers a Trade for an upcoming Mets vs Yankees game, and the probability of Aaron Judge finishing with more than 1.5 hits (as determined by Mojo) is 20%, the price that will be offered to Patrons on that Trade will be $0.20 (costing $0.20 in Mojo Bucks). If a Patron buys a “Share” of this position, and Aaron Judge finishes with 2 hits, the Trade will settle at $1, and the Patron will be paid $1 in the form of Mojo Bucks, for a profit of $.80. If Judge finishes with 1 hit, the Trade will settle at $0, and the Patron will lose their $0.20 Trade. A Patron will be able to buy multiple Shares of a Trade like this. In this prior example, if a Patron wanted to purchase 10 Shares of a positions at $0.20 per Share, it would cost them $2.00.

The probability (and the shown price) will constantly move depending on new expected outcomes of the position throughout the Timeframe. In this example, the price being shown to Patrons could increase to $0.40 or $0.50 if Judge has a hit in the first inning. The Patron could therefore trade out of their position at any point and make a profit. Similarly, if that Patron wants to re-open a Trade during the Timeframe, at the then-current price on the Mojo app (representing the then-current expected probability of an outcome), they are free to do so.

While Mojo sets the price of a Trade based on the expected outcome of an event or statistic over a certain amount of time, a Patron may also Trade amounts of their choosing that represent a fractional percentage of the Share Price and receive a corresponding fractional return (or loss) on their Trade.

CONTEST TYPES

Double Up

Summary: If a Patron finishes in the top half of all Patrons in a given Contest (by maximizing their Portfolio value by as much as they can, relative to other Patrons), then that Patron would double their Contest entry fee.

Details: Patrons pay an entry fee to Mojo. Mojo gives each entrant the same amount of “play money” (i.e. Mojo Bucks) to make a minimum number of Trades during the Contest Timeframe. At the end of the Contest Timeframe, Mojo would give a payout (equivalent to 2x their entry fee) to the top five entrants (in a contest with 11 entrants) who have increased their Portfolio values by the most Mojo Bucks, relative to the other entrants in the Contest over the Contest Timeframe. Entrants that are not in the top five positions of a Contest will lose their entry fee.

Should a specific Contest with a max number of 11 entrants fail to fill up, such that there are less than 11 entrants in that Contest, the five top entrants will still receive a payout. If a Contest only has five entrants, those five entrants will receive their entry fees back.

The following is an example of a Contest:

Max Entrants: 11

Entry Fee: $10

Payout: $20

# of Payouts: 5

In the Green

Summary: If a Patron finishes a given Contest having increased their Portfolio value from what they started with, that Patron will win money. The amount that Patron wins will be determined by their percentage increase in Portfolio value, relative to other entrants’ increases in Portfolio value. If a Patron finishes a given Contest having decreased their Portfolio value from what they started with, that Patron will lose their Contest entry fee.

Details: Entrants pay Mojo an entry fee to enter a Contest. Each Patron is given an initial pool of “play money” (i.e. Mojo Bucks). Anyone who increases the value of Mojo Bucks they started with wins. Contest Winners get their entry fee back, plus a pro rata portion of the available prize pool. This is dynamically allocated based on the share of total profits a specific Patron has earned.

If there are no Patrons that win (meaning no one in a Contest has managed to increase the initial amount of Mojo Bucks they began the Contest with), Mojo will refund all entrants.

If every Patron wins (meaning everyone in a Contest has managed to increase the initial amount of Mojo Bucks they began the Contest with), we give every Patron their money back.

If two users are tied at the completion of a Contest, the tiebreaker goes to the entrant that entered the Contest first (as determined by that entrant’s timestamp, which is known to Mojo).

By way of example, lets assume there is an “In the Green” Contest with 11 max entrants who have each paid $100 entry fee ($1,100 total Contest prize pool). Of the 11 entrants, 4 entrants finish “in the green” with a positive return on their Contest Portfolio. Those 4 entrants would receive their entry fees back and also share in the remaining $700 Contest pool. The other 7 entrants will lose their entry fees. The $700 Contest prize pool will be allocated to the 4 winners in positionortion to their respective performance. For example, let’s assume the 4 entrants collectively increased their Portfolio values by $200, broken down as follows:

  • Entrant A increases by $100;
  • Entrant B increases by $50;
  • Entrant C increases by $40;
  • Entrant D increases by $10.

Entrant A would then be entitled to 50% of the Contest prize pool, since that entrant made up 50% of the collective Portfolio increase ($100/$200). As such, Entrant A would be paid $350, in addition to having his entry fee repaid (total payout of $450). Similarly, Entrant B would be paid 25% of the Contest prize pool, or $175 in addition to the entry fee (total payout $275). Entrant C would be paid 20% or $140 in addition to the entry fee (total payout $240). Entrant D would be paid $35 in addition to the entry fee (total payout $135).

CAN I TRADE LESS THAN A PLAYER’S SHARE PRICE ON AN OUTCOME PROBABILITY POSITION?

As a benefit to Patrons, we do not require that they place a Trade in the amount of a Player’s full Share Price. While Mojo sets the Share Price of a Player based on Mojo’s prediction for that Player’s achievement of a statistic over a specified Timeframe, a Patron may also Trade in Mojo Buck amounts of their choosing that represent a fractional percentage of the Share Price and receive a corresponding fractional return (or loss) on their Trade. For example, if a Player statistic is priced at $0.60 and a Patron made a Trade in the amount of $0.30, a Patron would receive half of the payout for that Player if his Share Price increased. So if that Player’s final Share Price was $1, the Patron would receive $0.50 on their $0.30 Trade. If that Player’s final Mojo Value was $40, the Patron would receive $20.

PRICE MOVEMENT

Prices move in real time. Mojo is constantly revising each Player’s Share Price based on its then current projections for that Player’s achievement of the statistic in question during the Timeframe.  Additionally, Mojo may revise the Price on a Statistic based on its then current projections for that Statistic during the Timeframe. As one example, the line on a Statistic may change during a Timeframe if a Player performs well early on during the Timeframe. Further, every event — both on and off the field — can influence performance projections (i.e. injuries, suspensions, etc.)

WHEN CAN I MAKE TRADES?

Patrons can make trades any time during a Contest Timeframe, and while the platform is open. Mojo will post updated trading hours on its app and/or website. Of course, under extraordinary circumstances – including, but not limited to, situations when there may be reason to believe that the market has been manipulated in some way, or when there is an injury to a Player but it remains unclear as to how serious the injury is – like any market it can be suspended for short intervals while Mojo investigates (learn more here).

GENERAL RULES

Trade Acceptance

A Trade is not valid until it is validated and shows in the Patron’s Trade history. In cases of uncertainty about the validity of a Trade, the Patron is requested to check his/her open (pending) Trades, or contact Customer Service.  Should a dispute arise about the acceptance (or lack thereof) of any transaction in the Patron’s account, the transaction log database will be the ultimate authority in deciding such matters.

Trading and Payout Limitations

Mojo reserves the right to limit the acceptance of additional Trades on any Player on its platform, in its sole discretion.

Mojo reserves the right to decline or void, in its sole discretion, all, or part of, any Trade requested.

Mojo reserves the right to restrict or deny access, in whole or in part, to a Patron’s account, at Mojo’s own discretion.

All Trades placed through the Mojo Platform may be subject to a time delay prior to acceptance, the length of which may vary. Such delay is to be determined by Mojo in its sole discretion.

Mojo reserves the right to withhold payment and/or to declare Trades void if Mojo determines, in its sole discretion, that any of the following has occurred.

The integrity of an event in which a specific Player a Patron has Traded on has participated, has been called into question;

The Share Price(s) of a Player or multiple Players has been manipulated;

A Player that a Patron has Traded on participated in an event in which game-rigging has taken place, or the game is under investigation for such; or

Any other occurrence that, in the reasonable discretion of Mojo, would tend to show undue influence during an event in which a Player a Patron has Traded on participated in.

Evidence of the above may be based on the size, volume or pattern of Trades placed with Mojo, as well as information received from other online sports providers or officially recognized organizations. \

All Share Prices offered are subject to variation. Share Prices are determined by Mojo in its sole discretion. To help protect Patrons from price volatility, Mojo will honor the most recent Player Share Price shown to a Patron on its Platform when the Patron is attempting to make a Trade, except in situations when a Player’s Share Price has changed in a way that is detrimental to the Patron. In such instances, Patrons will be asked to re-confirm the Trade at the new Share Price prior to submission of the Trade.

Cancellation (Voiding) of Trade.

We reserve the right to withhold payment in a Contest or void any Trade(s) within a Contest if we have any reasonable suspicion and/or evidence that the prices or the Contest have been manipulated or where an underlying event has been rigged, and this reasonable suspicion and/or evidence has caused us to report the match to the positioner regulatory authorities. Evidence of the above may be based on the size, volume or pattern of Trades placed with Mojo. Specifically, Mojo reserves the right, at its discretion (and after receiving approval from the appositionriate governing body), to declare a Trade void, totally or partly, irrespective if the Trade is settled, if it is obvious that any of the following circumstances have occurred:

  • Trades have been offered, placed and/or accepted due to an Error;
  • Trades were placed while the website or app was encountering technical problems, that would otherwise not have been accepted;
  • Disclaimer and Priority
  • We do all that we can to avoid Errors. However, we cannot accept responsibility for obvious Errors or omissions in respect of the announcing, publishing or marketing of Share Price or results that occur, despite our every effort to ensure total accuracy.
  • Mojo reserves the right, at its own discretion, to adjust a payout credited to a Patron’s balance if it is obvious that the payout has been credited to the Account due to an Error.
  • In order to adjust any inaccuracy in the Patron’s balance following amounts credited due to an error, Mojo reserves the right to take any necessary action, without prior notice and within reasonable limits, to adjust the Patron’s balance through the reversal, amendment or cancellation, of any subsequent transaction on the Patron’s account.
  • If a Patron has a complaint regarding any Trade, please contact us directly at help@mojodfs.com.
  • Mojo reserves the right to suspend access to a Patron’s account while any complaints are being resolved.
  • These Rules are applicable to all transactions with Mojo and may be supplemented at any time in Mojo’s  sole discretion. In the event that any of these Rules conflict with the Terms, the Terms shall govern.
  • In cases where it deems that these Rules are inconclusive, Mojo reserves the right, according to its own discretion, to settle offers on an individual basis on the basis of equity, attaining itself to generally accepted norms, customs, and definitions.
  • Any data provided or accessible in, from or related to the Sportsbook may be used by the Patron for private, non-commercial use only and any use or attempted use of such data for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited.
  • Mojo has the right to enforce any of these Rules against any Patron in Mojo’s sole and absolute discretion.

INPLAY TRADE ACCEPTANCE

For the purposes of security and integrity, In Play Trades (meaning Trades on Players involved in Events that are currently in progress) are subject to an automated time delay prior to acceptance.

All Share Prices offered are subject to variation. Share Prices are determined by Mojo in its sole discretion. If the Share Price changes on a selection, to help protect Patrons from price volatility, Mojo will honor the most recent Player Share Price shown to a Patron on its Platform when the Patron is attempting to make a Trade, except in situations when a Player’s Share Price has changed in a way that is detrimental to the Patron. In such instances, Patrons will be asked to re-confirm the Trade at the new Share Price prior to submission of the Trade.

The Mojo market may be suspended when something of significance occurs or is likely to occur (ex: goal, touchdown, ejection, etc.). Trading markets may also be suspended due to the time elapsed in a match, the market becoming uncompetitive or for technical reasons. The above examples are not exhaustive and there may be other reasons that are not listed. While a market is suspended, Trades cannot be placed and Cash Out may not be available. The market for a specific Player or Players may be suspended at any time, In Mojo’s sole discretion.

  • Baseball

  • Baseball Definitions
  • “4.5 Innings Rule” - For certain underlying Contest positions to have action, the game must go at least 5 full innings (4.5 innings if the home team is ahead). If a game is called/suspended after this point, and not rescheduled the winner is determined as per MLB rules (i.e. in the same manner MLB would determine the winner of the game). More on this below.
  • “6.5 Innings Rule” - For underlying Contest positions on games that are scheduled for 7 innings of play (instead of the normal 9 innings—see “Scheduled 7-inning Games" below) all rules that would normally require 9 innings of play (8½ if the home team is winning) will instead require only 7 innings of play for action (6½ if the home team is winning). While Underlying Contest positions on markets that are unequivocally determined will stand (example: underlying Contest positions on 1st inning total runs scored will remain settled as determined if the game gets called in the 3rd inning), all other markets (including but not limited to Run Line and Total Runs) will be settled according to the 6.5 Innings Rule (void if not already unequivocally determined, unless a minimum of 7 innings are played, or 6.5 innings should the home team be leading at the commencement of the bottom of the 7th inning).
  • “8.5 Innings Rule” – For certain underlying Contest positions to have action, a game must go at least 9 full innings (8.5 innings if the home team is ahead), unless the result is already determined, and the game is official. More on this below.
  • “40-man Roster” –includes Players on an MLB team’s 40-man roster, as well as Players that appear on MLB’s Restricted List, Suspended List, 60-day Injured List, Military List, or any other list in which MLB deems an active or inactive Player to be part of a team’s 40-man roster while on such lists.

  • General Rules
  • These rules apply to Major League, all levels of Minor League, NCAA and World Baseball. World Baseball is defined as a league which is governed outside of the United States.
  • All Trades are graded based on the official results published by the relevant league’s governing body (e.g. Major League Baseball).
  • All team related Trades are on action.
  • In the event of a game not starting on the officially scheduled day, as published by the governing body, due to a rain delay or other deferral, all Trades shall be void. The day of the event is defined as the day according to the time zone in which the event was scheduled to begin. If a game that has started is suspended, due to a rain delay or other deferral, and resumes within 36 hours of the originally scheduled start time (local time), then all Trades will stand. If a game that has started is suspended, and resumes more than 36 hours after the originally scheduled start time, all existing Trades will be void unless they have been unequivocally determined prior to the game’s suspension. If a game is terminated before becoming official, and is not scheduled to resume from where it was halted, all underlying Contest positions will be void, unless the Trade was already determined (e.g. if a game is terminated in 3rd inning, settlement of the 1st inning over/under stands).

  • Ex: A game is scheduled to be played on Saturday evening. Here are how settlement rules would be impacted by different types of deferrals:
  • The game is postponed prior to first pitch and is rescheduled to begin at a future date. Since the game had not yet started, all Trades on the game will be void, regardless of when the game is rescheduled to be played
  • In the event that a game is halted but scheduled to be completed the following day, all Trades will stand as the event is due to resume within 36 hours of the original start time.
  • In the event that a game is halted and scheduled to resume more than 36 hours after the original scheduled start time, all Trades shall be void unless they had unequivocally been determined prior to the game’s suspension.
  • In the event of a shortened game, results are official after (and, unless otherwise stated, underlying Contest positions shall be settled subject to the completion of) 5 innings of play, or 4.5 innings should the home team be leading at the commencement of the bottom of the 5th innings (the “4.5 Innings Rule”). Once the visiting team has made 15 outs, should a game be called early and the home team is leading, the results of the game will be determined by the score at the time the game is called. Should a game be called early while it is tied or amid an inning in which the visiting team has taken the lead, the game becomes a “suspended game” and is handled according to the aforementioned rules surrounding suspended games.
  • Notwithstanding the above, in certain circumstances where we so specify, results will only be official after (and underlying Contest positions shall be settled subject to the completion of) a minimum of 9 innings’ play, or 8.5 innings should the home team be leading at the commencement of the bottom of the 9th innings (the “8.5 Innings Rule”). More on this below.
  • For the purposes of live betting, should a game be shortened due to bad weather or similar, live betting markets will stand and Cash Outs made prior to a game being called for weather or similar will be honored (irrespective of whether or not an official league result has been confirmed).
  • Extra innings, where applicable, count for settlement purposes.
  • In the case of a suspended playoff/post-season game, all underlying Contest positions will stand until the game is completed within 90 days of suspension
  • Should a mercy rule be applied, for settlement purposes, markets (for both pre-match and live betting) will be settled according to the result as determined by the application of the mercy rule.
  • Scheduled 7-Inning Games: For baseball games scheduled to be 7 innings, normal baseball rules will apply with all markets settled as per the official result published by the relevant league’s governing body and in accordance with the below listed rules:
  • Money Line underlying Contest positions will be settled as per the “4.5 Innings Rule”;
  • Underlying Contest positions on markets that are unequivocally determined will stand (example: underlying Contest positions on 1st inning total runs scored will remain settled as determined if the game gets called in the 3rd inning);
  • All other markets (including but not limited to Run Line and Total Runs) will be void if not already unequivocally determined, unless a minimum of 7 innings are played, or 6.5 innings should the home team be leading at the commencement of the bottom of the 7th inning.
  • The above listed rules will govern settlement of all scheduled 7 inning games, including any that are shortened after first pitch.

  • Player Positions
  • On any game-long player position (i.e. strikeouts in a game, hits in a game), that player must start the game. Some exceptions (below) apply to this.

Total bases single=1 base, a double=2 bases, a triple=3 bases, a HR=4 bases. A walk, stolen base, hit by a pitch, error, balk, fielder’ s choice or passed ball do not count. All player positions are considered to have action after a full 9 innings of play (8.5 if the home team is winning) unless otherwise stated; the only exception to this being pitcher positions. In order for underlying Contest positions on this market (pitcher positions) to have action, the game must complete the first 5 innings (4½ if the home team is winning). Pitcher must start for action - if the pitcher starts and throws at least one pitch, underlying Contest positions on that pitcher will have action, even if the pitcher is then removed from the game at any point for any reason.

  • For all MLB player markets, Trades will be void as per below (unless explicitly stated in market specific rules):
  • Pitcher Markets: If a Trade is made on a listed pitcher and that pitcher does NOT start the game.
  • Batter Markets (Hits, Runs, etc.): if the listed player does NOT record a plate appearance.
  • To Hit a Home Run & Home Run / Game Winner Parlay: Listed players must record at least 1 plate appearance for underlying Contest positions to stand (failing which, in each case, underlying Contest positions on this market will be voided). Listed pitchers have no bearing on this market.
  • Result of Plate Appearance: Listed players must record at least one plate appearance for underlying Contest positions to stand (failing which, in each case, underlying Contest positions on this market will be voided). In the event that a player is substituted out of the game between plate appearances, underlying Contest positions on plate appearances that have already occurred will stand. However, underlying Contest positions on future plate appearance markets will be voided. For settlement purposes, a fielder’s choice, catcher’s interference and hit by pitch (HBP) will all be ruled as an “other outcome.”
  • To Hit First Home Run: Listed position players must record at least one plate appearance for underlying Contest positions to stand (failing which, in each case, underlying Contest positions on this market will be voided). If a non-listed player is ruled the winner, underlying Contest positions on listed qualified players are action. All underlying Contest positions will be voided if no Home Runs are hit in the game.
  • To Hit Next Home Run: Listed position players must record at least one plate appearance for underlying Contest positions to stand (failing which, in each case, underlying Contest positions on this market will be voided). Once a player has recorded a plate appearance, Trades made on that player for all subsequent indices (Player to Hit 3rd Home Run, 4th Home Run, etc.) will stand regardless of the number of plate appearances that player ultimately records in the game. In the event there is no “Next Home Run,” all underlying Contest positions placed on that index will be void. Example: Trades placed on “Player to hit 4th Home Run” market will be void in a game where only 3 Home Runs are hit.
  • Player to Record a Hit Markets: Listed players must record at least one plate appearance for underlying Contest positions to stand (failing which, in each case, underlying Contest positions on this market will be voided). Once a player has recorded a plate appearance, underlying Contest positions on all subsequent hits markets (2+ hits, 3+ hits, etc.) will stand regardless of the number of plate appearances that player ultimately records in the game.
  • To Record Total Bases: Total Bases are recorded through hits. They do not include walks, HBPs, reach on errors, or fielder's choices.
  • Player Total Strikeouts: Listed Pitcher must start for bet to stand. If opposing Listed Pitcher does not start, then underlying Contest positions will still stand.
  • Player Performance Parlays: For pitchers, the listed pitcher must start for underlying Contest positions to stand. Underlying Contest positions will stand regardless of a change in status to the opposing listed pitcher. For batters, the listed player must record at least 1 plate appearance for underlying Contest positions to stand (failing which, in each case, underlying Contest positions on this market will be voided). A change to the status of either listed pitcher will have no bearing on the settlement of any batter-specific player parlay.
  • Result of First Pitch: Settled based on the first pitch thrown in the listed half inning. A change to the status of either listed pitcher, or to either line-up, will have no bearing on the settlement of this market. For settlement purposes, a reach on error, catcher’s interference, or a foul ball that results in an out will be ruled as an “other outcome.” Batted balls that result in the plate appearance ending (ex. hits/outs) will not be regarded as strikes for the purposes of settlement.
  • Method of First Hit: Settled based on the method by which the first hit of the game (for either team) occurs. A change to the status of either listed pitcher will have no bearing on the settlement of this market. Listed batters must be included in the starting line-up for underlying Contest positions to stand (failing which, in each case, underlying Contest positions will be voided).

  • Futures Markets + Other Specials
  • Regular Season Specials: All other regular season specials, unless otherwise stated, will be settled should teams play at least 50% of regular season games originally scheduled (as of Opening Day of the regular season). Dead-heat rules apply if multiple players tie for the league lead. In the event that less than 50% of regular season games are played (as scheduled on Opening Day of the regular season), all regular season specials underlying Contest positions (unless otherwise stated) will be void regardless of if they have been determined or not. Where a specified player is listed under a market pertaining to a certain league/team, he will be deemed a player in that league/team for the purpose of the result regardless of any inter-league/team trade which may occur.
  • Daily Strikeout Specials: For head-to-head strikeout matchups, both listed pitchers must start the game for underlying Contest positions on the matchup to stand. If the two listed pitchers record the same number of strikeouts, underlying Contest positions on the matchup will be voided. For daily specials about which listed pitcher will record the most strikeouts on a given day, underlying Contest positions on any listed pitcher that does not start will be voided, and dead-heat rules will apply if multiple starting pitchers tie for the daily lead.
  • Regular Season Series Winner: Games must be played within the originally scheduled series dates to be counted towards series settlement. Series underlying Contest positions will be void if affected by postponed/rescheduled games that take place after the originally scheduled series end date unless the outcome has been unequivocally determined prior to the interruption of the series. For series’ scheduled to be an even number of games (e.g. a four game series), either two-way betting or three-way betting (with “Series Tied” as a third possible selection) may be available. If two-way betting is available, underlying Contest positions on that market will be void if the teams split the series. If three-way betting is available, underlying Contest positions on the “Series Tied” option will be ruled as winners if the teams split the series.
  • Playoff Series Specials: Dead-heat rules apply if multiple players tie for lead. Applies to outright markets such as “Player to Record Most Hits”, “Player to Record Most Home Runs” etc.
  • Live Specials: No-Hit and Perfect Game Specials: An official pitcher-specific no-hit game (“Pitcher-Specific No-Hit Game”) occurs when a specific pitcher allows no hits during the entire course of a game, which consists of at least nine innings (minimum 27 outs) thrown by the pitcher, or if an away pitcher is losing the game going into the ninth inning, eight innings pitched and 24 outs (assuming the away pitcher is losing as a result of runs scored on anything but a hit – i.e. an error, a base on balls, etc.) An official team no-hit game (“Team No-Hit Game”) occurs when a pitcher (or pitchers) for a specific team allows no hits during the entire course of a game, which consists of at least nine innings (minimum 27 outs) thrown by the pitcher(s), or if an away pitcher is losing the game going into the ninth inning, eight innings pitched and 24 outs. For a pitcher-specific perfect game, the pitcher must comply with all requirements of the Pitcher-Specific No-Hit Game, but also not allow any baserunners to reach via walk, HBP, uncaught third strikes, catcher’s or fielder’s interference, or fielding errors (“Pitcher-Specific Perfect Game”). For a team perfect game, the pitcher(s) for the specific team must comply with all requirements of the Team No-Hit Game, but also not allow any baserunners to reach via walk, HBP, uncaught third strikes, catcher’s or fielder’s interference, or fielding errors (“Team Perfect Game”). Team No-Hit Games and Team Perfect Games will be settled regardless of the number of pitchers used by the relevant team.
  • Live Specials:
  • No-Hit through three innings (Pitcher-Specific or Team): This Trade wins when the criteria for either Pitcher-Specific or Team No-Hit Game (described above) are met with the exception being that rather than requiring a minimum of 27 outs through nine innings for the No-Hit Game Trade, this Trade requires a minimum of only 9 outs.
  • No-Hit through six innings (Pitcher-Specific or Team): This occurs when the criteria for either Pitcher-Specific or Team No-Hit Game (described above) are met with the exception being that rather than requiring a minimum of 27 outs through nine innings for the No-Hit Game Trade, this Trade requires a minimum of only 18 outs.
  • Perfect through three innings (Pitcher-Specific or Team): This Trade wins when the criteria for either Pitcher-Specific or Team Perfect Game (described above) are met with the exception being that rather than requiring a minimum of 27 outs through nine innings for the Pitcher or Team Perfect Game Trade to hit, this Trade requires a minimum of only 9 outs.
  • Perfect through six innings (Pitcher-Specific or Team): This Trade wins when the criteria for either Pitcher-Specific or Team Perfect Game (described above) are met with the exception being that rather than requiring a minimum of 27 outs through nine innings for the Pitcher or Team Perfect Game Trade to hit, this Trade requires a minimum of only 18 outs.
  • Live Specials: For live pitcher specials, all underlying Contest positions will stand if the listed pitcher starts the game. For live batter specials, all underlying Contest positions will stand if the listed player records at least one plate appearance in the game.

  • An official no-hit game occurs when a pitcher (or pitchers) allows no hits during the entire course of a game, which consists of at least nine innings (minimum 27 outs) thrown by the pitcher(s), or if an away pitcher is losing the game going into the ninth inning, eight innings pitched and 24 outs (assuming the away pitcher is losing as a result of runs scored on anything but a hit – i.e. an error, a base on balls, etc.) For a perfect game, the pitcher(s) must comply with all requirements of the no-hitter, but also not allow any baserunners to reach via walk, HBP, uncaught third strikes, catcher’s or fielder’s interference, or fielding errors. No-hitters and perfect games will be settled regardless of the number of pitchers used by the relevant team. For live pitcher specials, all underlying Contest positions will stand if the listed pitcher starts the game. For live batter specials, all underlying Contest positions will stand if the listed player records at least one plate appearance in the game.
  • World Series, League and Division Winners markets will all be settled in accordance with the official MLB ruling regardless of season length.
  • All outright markets include playoffs where applicable.
  • Home Run Derby
  • All Trades are graded based on the official results published by mlb.com.
  • Trades relating to home run distances will be resulted according to the figures provided by MLB’s Statcast.
  • Player Match Underlying Contest positions: If two contestants are eliminated in the same stage of the competition, underlying Contest positions on which player will advance further will be void.
  • MLB Draft
  • The official draft results on mlb.com will be used for settlement purposes.
  • For “over/under draft position” markets, undrafted players are assigned the draft position that comes after the last drafted player.
  • For over/under draft position markets under means the player is chosen with a pick that is less than the designated number and over would be after that designated number, for example a market of ‘Player A over/under draft position 3.5’, if Player A is picked with the second pick of the draft than under underlying Contest positions would win and over underlying Contest positions lose.

  • Overview of Specific Major League Baseball Markets
  • Please note that all below rulings are specific to MLB games scheduled to be 9 innings in length. For rules relating to games scheduled to be 7 innings in length, please reference the section above entitled, “General Rules.”
  • 3 / 5 / 7 Inning Markets: The specified number of innings must be completed for underlying Contest positions to stand (unless the home team holds the lead and the bottom of the inning would not change the result for team specific markets).
  • 1st Half Markets: Settled following the completion of 5 Innings. The 4.5 Innings Rule applies for shortened games where the results of markets have already been fully determined. If a game has extra innings, 1st Half Markets will be settled off the 1st 5 innings result.
  • For settlement purposes, the team listed second in the event name is considered to be the home team (even if the game takes place at a neutral venue). Example: “Team A v Team B” or “Team A at Team B”, Team B is the home team.
